Post subject: Atlanta WAS Club Meetings - Next Sept 20
|
|
|
EDIT: Some gamers in the Atlanta, GA area will be meeting Sunday, Sept 20 at 12 noon at the Gaming Pit in Gwinnett. Come and Join us!
http://www.thegamingpit.com/
We'll be trying out Flank Speed units this month!

Past rules for 200 point Round Robin...
I'd like to start a regular game in Atlanta - if you're in the area drop by. I expect Mad Ghost and Commisar JPH to be there as well as 1-2 others. We'll be playing a standard 200 point round robin event with these rules (unless we decide to change them!):
1. Bring a 200 point Allied fleet and a 200 point Axis fleet.
2. You flip a coin to determine if you are Allied or Axis.
3. Keep your base fleets for subsequent games.
4. Play a WAS 200 point game. Each objective counts for 100. You win at 300 points.
5. Keep track of your points. The winner is the one with the most points after all the games. So it will be theoretically possible to lose all your games but win the tournament.
6. Most points at the end of the night receives the coveted "Homer J Simpson Award for Tactical Achievement"
7. If you bring a friend who is new to WAS - your friend gets to play with 220 points (newbie bonus)
Come and join us!

That was a fun night
Especially vitalling a certain someone's Musashi at range 1 with nineteen (19) hits from my Missouri.....while his Musashi managed to only put 1 damage on the Mighty Mo.
Of course, I ended up losing the 2nd match by a lot (my Germans got absolutely trounced by the Brits) and lost the points battle for the third (but we played on and I ended up chasing 2 destroyers, a De Ruyter, and a Princeton around with a damaged Tirpitz) _________________

chasing carriers is always a fun and rewarding experience as long as they have run out of bombers!

There are some guys who are "regulars" at the LGS that are often there. But our next game is April 19. _________________ TimK

Sorry that I could not make it, Fuso. I have to work every other weekend which means I won't be able to come on the 19th either.
