If you leak about the new set and nobody notices, does it count?
Anyway, our dear friend M2A0 announced on the Boards of Evil (Version 8.0 or whatever) that the South Africans will get three units: a tank, a Morris AC; and an infantry unit.

I see from other wotc product official preview(sw miniatures), can we got a new preview or I want know that: How many units every nation will have ?

I have to disagree Lieutnant. 
It is good news as the french will be beefed up. And that's a very good thing!
Anyone remember the crescendo of doom expansion for Squad Leader

Quite well. It was 1981 or so in my first apartment. I played through all the scenarios in a week.
The French 75mm was still a very good gun, though the flat trajectory reduced its HE value. I wonder what WoTC will do with it.

I think the "quick firing" canon is very good news...
but I get the feeling - What do i miss - I visit the other place around every day - missed both the South Africans and the canon...
Does this herald good news for their site ???

I hope it's at least somewhat different from the pack howitzer. Pretty please.
I want -heavier- field artillery, darnit. If we can have a Hummel or a Wespe (or a Priest and the M12), why cant we have a 105mm / 150mm field artillery piece (or a 25 pounder..) ? [/rant]
Still, its useful. My French forces will be happy with it.
I hope the Polish forces get a 105mm howitzer (but I bet its an antitank gun).

Is the first post on Page One of this thread the most current info on the new set?
I mean, is this all we get? Early War is supposed to be released in December.
Hype is one thing, you know, build suspense, but I'm not a kid and this ain't Pokemon.
I'll buy the new set, or not, based on what is in it, not on my excitement level.

Wasn't the gun used in an AT role. The germans reused them as an AT gun. Romanian Field divisions had 6 per Division of these for ATG at Stalingrad on a German carriage similar to german 50mm ATG

I think he said: If there is a Panzerjager I in this set I will wet my pants, to which M2A0 replied, you better get some "depends".
I take that to mean there will definitely be a Panzerjager I, and I think Toronto is right: I find it hard to believe they would not put a Panzer I in an early war set. |
