Richard Borg's -The Great War by Plastic Company in 3D! I made all of the molds myself, cast them with hydrostone, hand painted them, and crafted the wired obstacles as well. I have the straight, curved, "Y's", hill, city rubble, and dead forest hexes. The hexes are 2 1/4" flat edge to flat edge. I still need to paint my infantry! Now...NOW i have to paint them!!!  Smile

I've also adhered some felt to the bottom of the hexes to protect the board, and have a less chance of chipping. This takes a long time to make the hexes, but I'll have 2 sets available for sale.  I'm asking $85 which includes shipping to the US only.  There will 36 straight, 4 -"Y's", 4 curved, 4 each dog leg left, and right, 6 dead forest, 6 city rubble, 12 wired obstacles, and 6 each hill hexes.  These will be painted very similar as I make more pieces, and additional pieces will be 3 for a $1 if you buy one of these sets.  The 3 for a buck will include any of the ones already made, plus any future cast of a foot bridge, destroyed foot bridge, and anything else I come up with. I know $85 is a bunch of money, but this is a lot of work! I can also sell the hexes unpainted. questions. comments, suggestions welcomed!

Count me in as an interested party Thor. I think most of the soldier figures will proxy in for WW I troops. Just need some nicely done cards for them. Do you know anybody with that talent Wink? PSCo. makes nice reasonably priced tanks for WW I in 15mm (1/100th) scale.

Version 1 of a card holder for my Great War game.  The idea is a holder for the tokens in the lower area, a command card holder, and movement card location with the discarded cards behind them.  I'll try to theme this towards a trench or something like that.  For now...this is what I have. Questions, comments, suggestions????

thanks!

When I first looked at this picture, I thought the bottom part was hinged and that the "box" closed when not in use. I see now that it's not hinged.

Don't know if that would be worth the effort to make, however, would it make it easier to store the cards between games?

I've started some resin work with the thinner based hexes.  The resin cost a little more, but it's worth it for these two pieces.  I'll still cast in hydrostone for the other pieces, but for strength...resin for the rubble town, and creator hexes.

Here's the next mold in this series. This will be a duel trench hex with shell creators. if my calculations are correct...The mold is approx. 34 cubic inches. I need a 3/4 deep mold...which should equal 16 oz. of mold mix, or 8 oz. of both A and B. This takes into account about 12% volume lost to the items to be molded, and 1% lost to collateral damage in the mixing vessels. I could also use the T.L.A.R. method (That Looks About Right, and hope for the best!) I placed the items on a piece of floor tile. This is a very cheap way to create what I need. I'll waterproof the seams with wood glue. Once the glue is done, and my wife leaves for work...I can pour the mold! If all goes well...I can have some pieces cast tonight. Questions, comment...suggestions???

here's are the foot bridges in the Tank expansion set.  One intact, and one partially destroyed.
I know the lighting isn't that good.

I'm DONE!!!  I'll post some pixs of the NEW river sections very soon!  I'll also try this out for a 2" and 3" AAM map.  I'm not sure if this will cross over.  The river sections can be used for a few other gaming systems.

Thanks for sharing I guess, sounds like a personal problem though.  Laughing
