Hi everybody. I've been doing tons of research on Armada and as I am a die hard Star Wars fan I've really been interested in it. One question though, in your opinion, how would you say it stacks up to W@S? Is it better, worse, or somewhere in the middle? I'd love to hear your thoughts as I am considering swapping out W@S for Armada (partially because I love Star Wars just a smidgen more than I love ships, and that there are no W@S players nearby for me). Thanks!

War at sea is much simpler in my opinion, but harder to get stuff for if you are shooting to complete the collection. The models for both are superb, and I love em both. Nothing like seeing those Star Destroyers prowl across the table though!

I have a rather large W@S collection, and am considering selling it for Armada. That was always one of my complaints with W@S, was that it seemed to simple and the rules too basic for there to be any interesting outcomes (not that I haven't seen or heard of any). It just mostly comes down to the dice. I know that dice play a decent role in Armada, but not such a heavy one from what I have heard.

One of my latest miniatures endeavors is to buy into Star Wars Armada.  Its a great game, and if anyone is in central Texas and wants to get in a game, let me know.
