Before I forget, I think that one of Captain Frederic John Walker's ships would make decent addition, as he was highly influential in the battle for the Atlantic and sank more u-boats than any other allied commander.

So either :

HMS Stork (Bittern-class sloop). Helped sink a fair few u-boats including ramming one ^^

HMS Starling (Black-swan class sloop). Interesting as leading one of the more aggressive 'Escort Groups'.

Played the song 'A Hunting We Will Go' over ship's tannoy when returning to base. Seems pretty perfect for an SA name (if a little 'silly'), perhaps a modest boost to friendly ships possessing the 'Sub-Hunter' SA. Of course detractors will point out that the Allies hardly need help in the ASW department!

These are never going to be power-gaming units, with just 6 x 4in guns and no torps, but I think they're important from a historical perspective.

Ummm ...  the Cabot wasn't loaned to the Spanish navy until 1967 and wasn't actually sold to Spain until 1972. This strikes me as being badly out of period for WaS.

FWIW, I was in New Orleans when the Dedalo was turned over to the private foundation that tried and failed to make it into a museum. No offense meant to any Spanish members of this forum but I have never been aboard any vessel as inconceivably filthy as the Dedalo (crew included) and this was a ship that had been the flagship of the Real Armada Espaņola.

Looks like I copied the wrong link,

USS Cabot could conceivably go in the US list. I will make the correction
