Both Climb and Tight Turn are Difficult Maneuvers.  He can only perform one of them per turn.  The Zero Ace was able to do the Tight Turn twice because of his SA Superior Turning which allows him to make 2 DM when moving at normal speed as long as one is a Tight Turn.  Since you're in Climb, you have to climb. Also since he's crippled, he gets a -2 to his DM Check and he can't move at High Speed, which I believe 4 is for the Wildcats.

Post subject: Zero ace movement question Reply with quote   (Liked by:0)  Like this post
Sorry for the interruption, but I am confused about something.

Zero ace started in C6 facing NE, right?  He selects speed 3. His move is Tight left, which moves him to D5 facing NW. He then moves forward left, which moves him to C5 facing SW.  Finally he does another Tight left, finishing at B5 facing SE. This seems like where he should end up.

The map shows him ending where he started: at C6 facing NE... Which is right?

Apologies if I am missing something here...  I'm trying to learn the intricacies of the game by following along.  Thanks very much for sharing the maps, die rolls, and moves.  Very helpful!

You know what, you're correct.  To do what I attempted here would have required the move from D5 to C5 to a tight turn as well.  Thank you for catching that.  I'm updating the map.  Lt-V if you want to change your moves let me know.   Embarassed

Like I said Lt, feel free to change your move for your crippled guy to.  I thought me doing that circle was too easy.

Since I screwed up my Ace movement, you now have the option to change your movement for the last two of your WC's.  I reset their positions to make it a bit easier.  If you wanted to keep the move for the crippled you may, but it's up to you.

the WC in A6 and the Crippled one in D5 can still move.
