here the map:

By The_Lucky_Y

now your first torpedo rolls....

its always the same crap if I bring cruisers and destroyers I always paired against the heavy USN Aircraft build and loose and if I bring the battleship build then I paired against the n x Sub fleet....

and nobody tells that the first games are on such small size, look at may complete fleet and you see what I mean

I was praying you would bring the Yamishiro and a few more air units...
I had no idea you would pull out the VERY big guns in a 75pt match! this is all about the odds!

Well... its time:

Uboat at range 0 vs Musashi 3 d6 +1 d6 for wolfpack

Rolls: (4d6)

i was thinking about yamashiro and a pair of I-19 + one zeke but you could bring the bismarck and two subs so I prepared for the worst case, now it seems to be better to bring the yamashiro and two I-19 but now i had to go with that I have.

here my initiative roll:

Rolls: (2d6)

reroll

Rolls: (2d6)

aircraft all available on my side

Im just amazed you put a full fleet together with out yuks or emily/kates for asw... its obviously a counter USN build but that often incl a couple of barbs.

Ok... my surface moves

uboat f7 to E6 objective
uboat b7 to b6 objective
uboat  c7 to d7

surface group to B6 objective

your Air first (I have 1 Bf109 availible)...

no air movement because I cant really get through 3 shipborne AA sources and one bf 109 and the whimsy guns on the normal zekes forbids any strafing runs.

yes no isokazes and other because yamashiro+musashi and zuikaku eats up the lionīs share of the set 2 points there are only 19 points left to buy some set 2 units, and an Emily would be a good buy but I assume that I face a typical USN build(in that case any vessel with armor lower than 8 and is not a carrier was a waste of points)

I get the southern objective you the northern and then it would be a very long game because you can hide behind the island and I would loose my ER4 soon.

Iīll suggest an tie game because even if I wiped out your entire surface group AND grab BOTH objectives I did not reach the necessary points for the win.

you can declare your surrender in turn 4 or later and pull out.. you get to keep your ship that way. Im not keen on calling it a  "tie" as Im going to sink musashi sooner or later if you stay...

so its My torps then your declared withdraw.

Uboat Vs Mushashi range 0 plus 1d6 wolfpack

Rolls: (3d6)

wolfpack

Rolls: (1d6)

one hit!

Turn 4....

Ok, honor is satisfied and you may declare your surrender if you wish...

sorry it was a bad match up for you, i had hoped for a good game but this would have got dull for you very quickly.

Lets hope for better in later matches with (MUCH) higher point levels for builds .

if you wish to continue...

torp time

now I pull the withdraw ability and concede this game.

reasons:

nobody tells in the beginning that we do 50 point games and 75 point games and other small things with the 4oo point fleet(I expect 200 pointer and larger games and choose units for that big games)

Init for the following round;

Rolls: (2d6)

reroll

Rolls: (2d6)

because I have to run to an row on the map end
