Yes, US air power is just too tough. Next turn I would have likeonly 10 pts to use while my Graf Spee tries to race to A5, probably sinking on its way there. Your Hellcat was what won the day in my opinion.

maybe purchasing Hipper or zara or even an Graf Zepp(cruiser with good AA) would help some more but I would purchase one B25 this turn and the hellcat can shoot down any axis fighter on its own, even my risky move to strafe the z20/karlsruhe pair did not down the cat(an wildcat would splash at that point).
some lucky rolls from my surface and air do the rest...

I was to save Hipper for when I could relax a little, but that neve happen, and losing Karlsruhe was the begining of the end, even if my pocket battleships survived and secured the north (highly, highly improbable) you'd have the South.
