This scenario is based on "The Battle of the Barents Sea", which took place on December 31, 1942.  A British covering force headed up by the cruisers Jamacia and Sheffeild, supplemented by 6 destroyers, ran into a German anti-convoy force consisting of Hipper, Lutzow, and 5 destroyers (2 Karl Galtsers and 3 Narviks).  This scenario simulates that battle.

UK:

Jamacia x 2
Javelin x 6

Germany:

Scheer or Graf Spee*
Admiral Hipper *
Karl Galtser x 2
Hans Ludemann x 3**

Victory conditions:

German:  Exit at least one cruiser off of the opposite edge of the map
UK: Avoid German victory conditions

Special scenario notes/rules:

* Raider SA is not used for this scenario
** Hans Ludemanns are a representaion of the Narvik class DD's. It's attack stats are 6-5-5-4.

Ciao!  Mr. Green

Nice! But a bit one-sided, no?

Perhaps let the UK win initiative every round?

Actually, I forgot about the "Raider" SA's when I did my playtest!  Embarassed That, and "flotilla leader" gave the British the initiative for most of the game.  I suppose I have an edit to do! Wink

ciao! Mr. Green
