Did you build all three of those ships?  They look as good as anything I have seen come out of a box, and better than some.  You rock!!!

As for your fingers, welcome to the club.  I got my thumb a few years back and will always have the scar, and the numbness. Sad

I'm pretty pleased with it even though there are some nagging details that I'd like to add or improve upon. But it's always the same... Smile

Aye MrKen he has.  Ye are correct on the quality of his work.  Like you both and many others who venture into the kit bashin or scratch building arena, I too have scars a plenty to attest to my oft made errors in the using of a very sharp object.
I propose that within this grand community that we create a special award or badge if you will, for those of us who've sacrificed portions of digits, shed our blood or otherwise sustained some injury in the pursuit of creating our works of artistic expression.
I propose that it be called, "The order of the Purple Digit"  It should be in the shape of an oblong disk with a blood red back ground and a finger wrapped in a bandage imposed upon it.  The digit itself would bear the colour of a royal purple with a white bandage wrapped partially at the tip.
What say you to this proposition?
Cmdr, ND, Celt, et al?
& if some enterprising member of this learned forum would like to submit their design ideas...
Now Cmdr I understand that your most unfortunate "accident" had nothing to do with the actual construction of this fine example of your skills.  I do believe that at some time in your past or more recent past, that you too have made a blood sacrifice to the modeling Gods.  Primarily in your case the Dremel God, or possibly the Exacto Blade Gods.
Therefore you would most assuradly be eligible for awards and possible multiple blood clot clusters.

A side note: jim.agee asked me for some transports like the ones I made earlier, and I agreed. So I have been up working on six at once.

I managed to overheat my Dremel.  Embarassed  Embarassed

Is this some kind of "coming-of-age" ritual? Overheating your first Dremel?

Thanks man!
The nearest one is a repainted Vittorio Veneto, for reference, so she's one of the standard ships.
Yeah, I know that feeling. It's not the first time that I've knifed my left index finger so I have a bit of numbness too. That's what you get for being right handed I suppose Smile

And you're right! My poor left index finger alone has earned a Purple Digit with clusters like haemorroids! Very Happy I've bashed it, cut it repeatedly... Part of the nail is missing, numbness, scars, crosswired nerves... ayayay Razz

Uhm, I suppose it is.
My first such tools was a cheap copy. It bloody exploded on me before I even got to put it to use. Poof! And all the magic smoke went... After which I went down to the complaints desk, got my money back and paid the difference on a real Dremel. Never regretted that... Smile

Curio: I didn't once use the Dremel on this build  Confused

the digit. I just don't get my italians wet often enough to rate such a beautiful unit. I would rather mount mine under my name though...
