so what do you all think of the MM in version 9.7?

Today i played a match with just 25% chance to win...... the only reason i survived quite long was only because the other team left the flank open i was taking..... within 2 mins, 10 of my side were gone....

NO FUN!!!

I found with WOT it's better to defend now rather than try to attack. And play lower tiers.

IMO, its not the MM, its the player demographic that has changed over the years. I started playing in fall of 2012 and I think the spread between the good players and new players has widened creating a MM thats not working the way it was intended. The spread between player skills causes the week-ends to be unorganized and chaotic.

I find week-days and evenings much better for better gameplay than week-ends. I say this because I don't find much movement in my WN8 (1600ish) between week-ends and week-days but I do see my win rate drop on week-ends consistently. Win rates get lower on week-ends, win rates increases on week-days, average works out to be close where it should be. The law of averages I guess. This tells me my gameplay is fairly consistent but something else is influencing my wins, namely the player base.

But this is just my opinion.......

Welcome to pay to win. If you notice people who have never played before have a tier 8 and dilute the player pool by not knowing what they're doing. They should make it you have to get a tier 5 or 1000 battles before you can buy a premium tank.

I can't stand playing lower tiers below say tier 5, the tanks are just so crappy and so are most of the players, except of course the Seal clubbers. lol  Tier 5 & 6 are my go-to tiers for wins.

I have to agree with your sediments, there are too many noobs playing high tiers so they can play big powerful tanks even though they have no clue what to do with them. They are the heavy tanks that camp out near base and wait for the fight to come to them, the fight only comes to them because they made a zero contribution to the battle and the team is losing. I could never understand the camping heavy thing, why don't they just drive a Tank destroyer if they want to camp?????

The R-35 is great. The Maus of tier 2 is its nickname as 40mm all the way around and all really nicely sloped.

Them gifting Tier II premiums is just asking for seal clubbing. I have no apologies for tearing up low tier games in my machine gun tank.

Well, weekends in all games are always more "casual". Personally I don't get how noobish people are because it isn't like this game is rocket science.

I play World of Tanks also. I've been playing since beta. It's always important to remember that you are playing with 29 random people. I enjoy the game for what it is and try not take it too seriously. I've seen crazy tactics both win and fail.

I've only seen risky tactics (rushing the "wrong" side) work when the other team doubles down and does the same or when someone turns out to be Rambo and just outclasses the other team.

During the Victory Day when it was x5 I saw a lot of T7 Cars and Tetrachs. It was bad.

Long time World of Tanks players may know this story/video. I was shown this yesterday by The Mighty Jingles. Every time I go back to this, I cry, a lot.

such a touching story
tomorrow when I am back my panzers will roll out to battle again. Just started with the IS-3 as my currently only Tier VIII but grinding through the Tiger(P) to move on.

In clan games usually the Cromwell... fast and quick firing, a good tank for that category of games

It's amazing to me how much time and effort people put into things like this. It's very well done! Thanks for the links!

I've put tanks on the back burner for warships. I will log in soon, apparently I should get a FV 4202 for free on February 1st.
