Well, damaging Wisconsin wouldn't have changed anything - you needed to vital it -either this turn or next- to win. Else it's mate in one, I'm afraid (unless I've overlooked something).
Inits for next turn (no matter, my move will be the same regardless):
Rolls: (2d6) +2
Re-roll:
Rolls: (2d6) +2

Lets see you killed
2 Spee @ 42 pts
5 Galstors @ 40 pts
2 objectives 120 pts Yup you win
I am Blaming this on the VP rule Change. Otherwise this is far from over. |

I Guess My Only Choice is to try to Vital Iowa.
Bizzy Grp Move 2 Spaces Straight Down Galstor Stays Behind
Crip Galstor Moves Down 1 Space, The other Criped Galstor Stays Put
Kolnx2 Both Move 2 Dwn
The reaining 2 Healthy Galstors to F7 |

I only sank 4 destroyers (though the Dauntlesses should kill two more this turn), but yeah.
Do roll your big guns, you can still vital Wisconsin (though it can vital Bismarck, too...)
Anyhow, I don't think you can "blame" it on the VP change - your initial deployment was quite poor, as you left the southern 2 objectives totally unprotected. You might notice I've done the same in most of my matches: ignore the enemy BBs, let them shoot at mine, and kill escorts / objectives to *just* reach the VP limit. _________________

Nothing...
Wisconsin shoots back at Bismarck in retaliation:
Rolls: (15d6)
Dauntlesses Able and Baker are grounded due to poor performance.
Thanks for the game! Well done - even though I think your deployment wasn't great, your moves were all excellent, and surprised me more than once. After two turns I really thought I had no way to salvage the game anymore. Definitely the most exciting game of the cup! _________________

You win.
I don't think my deployment was poor. You had Mr Range 5 [b]Again[b]. I was trying to use the islands for cover.
You Had to run away to save your BB's
If it wasn't for the VP reduction I would have never moved into you.
Thats the only reason. If the VP Conditions were the same as the rest Of the Whole Tournament, this Game is FAR from Over.
Otherwise good game.[/code] |

Congrats both of you. Fascinating game and excellent performance by `Gross Admiral Raeder' despite everything being against him. Settings, German navy limitations, uber enemy admiral.
EvilKobra you're deservedly the Forumini Olympic Champion for War At Sea.
You logged in at the exact moment the competition started in order to get the Admiral that you thought would win, and you did in fact win with excellent use of the Admiral in all 4 games. _________________

Thank you ND. I have to say I've had a very tough time, even with the strongest Admiral out there. And this despite the Dice Gods smiling upon me in all matches (except in the final, which I've really had to sweat). That speaks heaps of the quality of the other players out there - very impressive
Thank you all
And once again, thank you ND for making all of this possible.
