Which would win a fight? WK.1Starting this week, I will post a new topic on the "Will win a fight scenario?" The units are closely matched in price. Also, I will post one each week, and I will evaluate the winner the next week. Vote for your favorite one!!
NOTE: These battles will take place on an open field.
2x T-34/76 VS. 1x Tiger I
The Tiger I with its powerful 88mm cannon can make short work of the T-34/76's. The T-34's however outnumber the Tiger.

NOTE: These battles will take place on an open field at a medium distance. If you want PM me ahead of time which ones you want to see.
2x T-34/76 VS. 1x Tiger I
The Tiger I with its powerful 88mm cannon can make short work of the T-34/76's. The Tiger has nearly 100mm of frontal armor. The T-34's however outnumber the Tiger. They could easily outmaneuver the Tiger onto its weak rear. |
NEXT WEEK: 1x King Tiger VS. 1 Guards T-34/85 and 1x T-34/76

You should add an option for a tie, because this one could go either way, depending on range, terrain and support. I would have voted tie, but I went with the Tiger because of extended range.

Yes but no. In war there can be no second placers. I agree the Tiger and T-34's could tie or everyone would die, but it is a battle to the finish. First one down loses.

What I'm trying to say is that half the time the Tiger might win, and the other half the T-34s depending on the above factors and more importantly, the dice rolls. One Tiger can take down 10 T-34s if the Russians roll 1s the whole time right?

OOPPS, I accidentally put this in the Army Builds Section. Moderators can you put this in the General Discussion if you can.

Gotta go Tiger on this one.

On an even playing surface, there will be times the T34s will win but if they were battling right now on even money, I would go Tiger, too big too powerful and with the extended range LOOK OUT!!!!!

I had a Veteran Tiger kill four T-34/76s, and all they did on their way out was damage it (the SU-85 did however succeed in finishing it off eventually, but my Panther killed it and I won)

i normal find that it takes 3 t34 to take a tiger out for sure but it depends on terrain.

You need more details. An open field? Are we playing on a 50 hex map with no terrain?
Everybody is saying the tiger's extended range clinches it for them and i agree. In this instance the t-34s don't even get a shot off.
Now in a normal game where extended range doesn't count for a whole lot, the t-34s speed give them the edge and 2 shots are better than 1.
