Vanilla Mirror BuildsI put together what I will call the vanilla mirror builds for the U.S.A. and Germany.
No Planes, Elites, or units that are unavailable as of the last three sets.
Anyway, good for teaching beginners, balanced, and(I hope) logical.
If WotC sold a starter with these builds and maps, counters, etc. I think that would do a lot for getting new players hooked on the game. You could play right out of the box. There's only one rare in the list below (M3) and that one should be uncommon, and is available as an uncommon for the U.K. That might also motivate new players to buy boosters to get some rares to play with...
U.S.A.
42 M4A1 Sherman x2
15 M3-LT
08 M5-HT
09 M1919 MG
07 Red Devil Capt.
04 Bazooka
12 M1 Garand x3
03 Jeep
100 Points
Germany
44 Panzer IV F2 x2
15 Stug III D
07 SdKfz 251
10 MG-42
07 SS Haup
04 Panzerfaust
10 WV Inf. x2 (09 Mauser Kar x3)
03 Kubelwagon
100 Points (99 Points)

I think the German group should have two Mauser Kars instead of one of the Vet infantry, other wise they look like great starter armies.

Turns out I miscounted the points so I can't sub 2 Mausers for a Vet.
Oops!

Just go with 3x Mauser instead of the 2x vets for 99 pts. That will be close enough.

Yeah those builds definitely look way more exciting than the initial starter pack. It's a real pain for a new player to get a hold of the Panzer IV f2 compared to the Sherman or the T34 and that makes it harder for a beginner to start building an axis set. Anyways, the list looks good.
