OK, played weedsrock2 last night, European theater and historical ship limits were in place, here's what I played:

This build came up against a British air heavy build, lots of Barracudas, Beaufighters and the Rodney. I grabbed a cheap objective with the Koln/Savoia trick and with the subs and sparvieros adding a hit or two Bismarck out-muscled Rodney to take a second objective and eventually sank Rodney for the win. I think my build lined up well against his, but the way I rolled (shot down four or five Barracudas) and the way he rolled (one torp hit all game) made it much easier on me.

I guess I was expecting lots of subs, but I faced a pure Italian four battleship and 6 Sparviero + support force and the only reason I even made a game of it was more luck with the dice. My AA on turns 1 and 3 was tremendous, shot down four Sparvieros (despite no AA values higher than 7).

One squadron of my destroyers took an objective, and the rest of my destroyers couldn't keep his pair of Cesare's from taking the one on the other side (I think only one torp hit from all my destroyers). In the middle my BB's slugged it out with Littorio and Veneto. By turn 5 his remaining Sparvs started making more hits, and if I hadn't vitalled a previously undamaged Littorio it would have been no contest. As it was I still lost, it just took an extra turn or two.

Solid builds. I think I might include a couple more Kondors in the first one, but that's a minor suggestion at best.

In the second one, I really like the balance of the build.
