Twilight ImperiumDo any of you guys play it?
I've played about 6 times now. It's a really fun game. I had the game and my friend had the expansion. After we played one time, my copy and his expansion got mixed up together. We decided it was too much trouble separating them so I traded my game to him for some AAM and $.
Another player in our group has it. We played tonight. Too bad it's so long. I'm thinking of introducing a timer (a 3 minute sand timer (from Space Hulk) to speed up turns. I find some people take too much time making decisions.

With the expansion, its a FANTASTIC game. Without it, it's still good, but it definitely has issues...
I think the 'sweet spot' is with 4 players. With 5+ it seems to take MUCH MUCH longer and people are less inclined to fight but rather they hang back and try and wait for others to fight.
In general though, its a great game that I wish we could get on the table more often.

I've played with the expansion only once. I need to try it a few more times with the expansion. I remember enjoying the basic version more. The last game we played was 3 players, after 7.5 hours or so we still weren't done. It might have been because two of use hadn't played in a while and one of the players was taking a long time on his turn. I try to plan my turn in advance so that it goes faster. But he would wait for his turn and then think, make decision, change his mind and think some more.
