Surprise RaidSo when do you all suppose the ships are declared? I hope you declare them at the start of the Air Defense Phase. If you must declare them right after the initiative is rolled, your opponent can switch ships during the following Movement Phase, thus splitting up the weakened ships. Either way it will help, but making sure you get both ships in the same sector is much more powerful.

It appears to me that you declare it just after you roll the initiative. That certainly dumbs the ability down a bit, but it seems like the way it was intended. That said, I might be full of it too.

So far from the truth.
I would agree with swarbs interpretation of the Sa myself.
If you get 10+ on initiative you pick your two ships then and there.
It reminds me of the HMS illustrious Sa which grants bonus torpedo rolls if you roll over 10 on initiative.
