The "Spotter" SA is specifically for adding dice to aircraft attacks. Spotter is a Soldier sub-type that permits the "Indirect Fire" SA to function... The Rangers are a corner case unit that can spot and move, or spot and attack....They are also one of the best and most cost effective and hard to kill units so they are awesome in every way.....All the other nations have to waste points on dedicated spotters that have limited utility outside of this role and cost not much less than the Rangers... Can you imagine if the SSPGs could spot for the Germans?
