Soviet Assault Corps 200 points (semi-historical)Hi,
Today when I got the last Eastern Front pack at Borders I got some good pulls. I got enough Soviet units to allow me to create a semi-historical Soviet army. It is 200 points and a pretty well rounded force. I'm planning on using it tomorrow so advice now would be great, keep in mind that the following is all the Soviet forces available to me.
IS-2 Veteran x1=67 points
ISU-122 x1=43 points
T 34/76 x1=28 points
Lend Lease Half Track x2=14 points
Soviet-Polish Infantry x1=3 points
PPSh SMG x1=3 points
Cavalrymen x1=4 points
Maxim M1910 x1=7 points
Fanatical Sniper x3=24 points
ZIS-2 57 mm Model 1943 x1=8 points
So what do you guys think? I think it's pretty well rounded with the ability to take out heavy Axis tanks and the ability to kill infantry as well. I'm hoping it will work well tomorrow. Any advice?

For 200 points I'd go with:
8X: Mosin-Nagant (CA of 8 for 3 points, can't beat that!)
3X: Cossack Cavalrymen (Fast Attack to take out mortar teams)
4X: Soviet Grenadiers
5X: Commissars (one can't have too many  )
1X: Hero of the Soviet Union
1X: Ammo Dump
2X: R.A. Forward Observers
2X: 82mm PM-37's
1X: SU-152 (Everything killer)
1X: ZIS-5 3-ton (To whisk troops around)
4X: PPSh-41 SMG

Hmmm, K thanks. But stated that's all the soviet units I have. So for the actual 200 point army of what I have is it good or should I scrap it? I don't want to kno what you would do with 200 points, I'm wondering what you think of my build and if I should keep it or scrap it.

Hey if that's all you have to roll with then go with it. But, I'll tell you right now if go with SU, think quantity rather than quality.
Can you borrow from your opponent?

Hmm, let's see. He's my dad, and all the pieces are mine. What I thought 88 meant was that if I could use german pieces. It was a slip up on your part Andreas3 so I won't spaz.

I'm very dissapointed. The unit performed horribly and my force was decimated. But a also had horrible dice rolls. I believe I will stick to my idea of well-balanced tanks and use blitzkrieg aggressive tactics. That won me 2 matches in a row, I was using allies both times.
