SnowAre their any official rules for snow conditions? I thought their were some in one of the official WotC scenarios, but I haven't been able to find any.

As far as I know, no. Winter maps were issued for Combat Zone only, and no changes to rules were made.

Maybe the Eastern Front maps will have some special snow rules? Maybe in conjunction with a cool Finnish ski soldier SA?

I think these are the scenarios you are talking about:

Here are the rules for snow and ice from them:
| Quote: | 5. Snow blankets all terrain. Vehicle movement is reduced by
one point and road bonuses are negated. All other terrain is as
depicted.
6. Whole hexes in the westernmost half of map Able-1 are
considered to be ice (frozen lake). Treat as clear terrain.
- Mortar fi re greater than 122mm that lands in an ice hex
prevents vehicular movement through that hex for the
remainder of the scenario. Use a marker, such as a coin, to
denote holes in the ice. |

Cool, I hope terrain effects like that become standard on the winter maps with Eastern Front!

M2A0 pretty much confimed on the WotC boards that their would be a map pack for Eastern Front, though he mentioned only Steppe and Stalingrad as the featured terrain. I do hope there are some better snow rules included.

You're better off thinking of your own.
Around here, we use:
1. No streams
2. No High Gear
3. No Road bonus
A lot of our units have special snow abilities. Otherwise, we use special rules for snow penalties as the situation warrants.
