Smoke Screen and Chase SalvoesI have the USS Hoel- In the surface attack I deploy a smoke screen. My opponent' battleship and Cruiser then attacks the Hoel. I get a saving roll against the battleships main guns. If I fail Chase the Salvoe, can I make a Smoke Screen save also? Two saves versus one attack?

As far as I know, you get both saving rolls. Same if you have an MTB in smoke, etc.

Yeah, these are different types of evasion rolls, and they stack so you get two tries. By the same token, laying smoke in a sector twice gets you nothing, a unit can't be doubly concealed.

That's what I thought. My friend said otherwise, so I conceded at the time to get on with it. But now I know!
