Secondary and Tertiery Gunnery Attacks

Please, I'm new to this terrific game (and I'm italian, so my English could be terrible too...) and I've a question about the correct interpretation of Secondary and Tertiary Gunnery Attacks rule.

Q: When I fire with Secondary and Tertiary Gunnery (with a ship able to do it, clearly), I have to shoot at the same target of my Main Gunnery Attack or can I target any other ship within range?

In my honest opinion, in the rules this situation isn't so clear...

Thanks and "Brace for impact"...

you are allowed to target other ships in range with your secondary or tertiary gunnery.

rule of thumb: each attack value row can have a different target.

Do Main, Sec, Tert, have to be fired in that order?  It came up during a game I had tonight Question

Thanks!
Okie

No!! you fire you gun's any way you want.

The only time you have to fire at targets that are possibly not they exact way you'd want to is with the Bristling with Guns SA, seeing you have to target different ships with it.

My thanks to the esteemed Okie and ubiquitous MacGuyer!

And you don't have to fire all the guns from one ship before you fire from another ship either. So you can fire the secondaries from one ship, then the primaries of a different ship, then go back and fire the primaries of the first ship. With a really big fleet you risk losing track, but in my experience it isn't a problem if you work one 'section' of the map at a time.

This Also helps when playing the French as Excellent spotting SA.

Dunkerque fires secondaries at Tirpitz. Then Richelieu gets to claim EX Spot. on her mains and then Dunkerque can claim it when you go back to her mains as it only requires that another ship have fired guns first to trigger it.

That's why some French players will fire Dd guns at a BB so the rest of their units can get extra dice.
