Sample Commander

The goal is to integrate the commanders and troops, not just assign arbitrary SA's & CA's.  Commanders for each nation should have a range of initiatives and a balance (offense/defense) of abilities.  For cost, the hamster at 7 pts should be the standard.

Tagmatarkhes   (Greece)
(0) 6/ (1) 4
(0) 1

Speed 1
Defense 4/6
Cover 4

INITIATIVE +1
BY BAYONET, GO ON--During the friendly Assault Phase, adjacent friendly Soldier-Infantry may move one hex and make a HAND TO HAND 9 attack. During this move, they ignore the cover penalty from Defensive Fire.

Cost 6
Date 7/36

only +1 init i thought +2 as they did well against the Italians. there officers should be +1.
How is init working anyway?

Initiative works the same in the standard rules.  Working on optional system.

+1 because I wanted to keep the cost down; I see this guy as less of a thinker than a charger;  there will be more commanders with higher initiatives.

Australian officers will get +1 on each Attck Die vs Goannas.

Tagmatarkhes means Major. I would rename their ability as AERA or AERA CHARGE. "Aera" means "Wind" and was the greek battlecry.

According to my source, the officer would shout "By bayonet, go on" and the men would reply "Aera!"  That's why I gave the ability AERA! to the soldiers and BY BAYONET, GO ON! to the commanders.  Symmetry? Huh? Clever? Huh? Didn't think I could do that? Huh?  Not bad for a colonial? Huh?
