Rules question.Quick question: (since I don't have the rule book in front of me)
For game purposes, is damage on a unit considereed to be taken simultaniously, or does it stack cumulitively?

It all takes effect at the end of the phase, and each hit counts as one, stacking cumulatively. Not sure what you're looking for here.
BTW, wrong place.

each hit does 1 point of damage (xept torps)...
if you hit x times during a phase the unit gets x damage at the end of the phase (nope if you cripple an unit it is not considered crippled until the end of this phase - you AND enemy)

Yes. I know this.
The basis of the question was this:
If two units fire at the same target in the same phase does it matter who shoots first. (all other factors excluded)
If the damage was stacked silumtaniously it wouldn't matter, but as it is cumulative it does. I just couldn't remember exactly how it was worded in the rules.

Yes, it's simultaneous. SA's like Finish Him Off can only be activated from damage that came from a previous turn or phase, not from within the same phase. Some stuff is non-simultaneous, like Excellent Spotting, but that has nothing to do with damage.
