I will Announce a Date and Time for the Draft and any special instructions to follow. Please do not Sign up if you intend on not being a Serious player. (Byes are not much fun) There will be a winners and Loser Bracket. At the Start of tourney, Players will PM there 300pt Fleets to me. After I have recieved all Fleets I will openly Display for all to see. All Players also start the tourney with 100pts in reserve for Task force Units. If a player wants to save some points for Task force Units, They may do so but up to a max of 50. And this must be stated when they submit their Fleet Form. Any unit lost during any match, is lost for rest of tourney. Damaged/crippled units start next game as Normal if Chosen, Crippled Units with 5 or more Hull Pts and used in next game, start game with 1 pt of Damage. This is the Sign up sheet, I am hoping for Players in a timely matter, so I can finally get this underway. Do I have to be a mapper because I don't have that capability? I will be on vacation July 13-17, does that exclude me? It sounds like fun and I want to start playing online games but sometimes am limited by work, kids, etc. Please advise.... packertim you know without any doubt that I would not pass it up.  Just remember, that as one of the, if not the, oldest player in this forum, sometimes I need help with things that are new.  That is why I still don't know how to do maps, or that VASSAL.  It took me probably the longest ever to figure out how to use the dice roller. Since The Judge is On Vacation until the 17th of JULY, And I am holding this tourny in celebration of Task Force. I will then Unlock the thread at a certain time of Day which all of you will know what time that will be well in Advance. I can hardly download a picture, much less do a map so I am wondering what we're supposed to do if I play Packertim or anyone else who doesn't know how to do the maps? Please advise. If you have MS Paint it is easy to do.  I will provide you with the Game maps, and al you guys have to do is edit the Text(Unit Names) on the map.  I will try to help those out that really have no idea how to do a map RAEVSKI I'll help out with maps. What time is the draft and what happens if everyone is not present? This going to be tough to pull off I think and with some of us computer illiterate, it will be even tougher with the maps. packertim you could have everyone roll 4 dice to determine draft order and then everyone could draft with a one day limit over the next couple of weeks.  Which fleet did I pick?  Did I send you a fleet?  Is it 300 pts?  Some admirals have reduced costs for units.  Shouldn't we determine admirals first? To be fair for all, I will post my Admiral a Minimum of 2hrs after I unlock the thread. packertim did we choose a nation?  If so which did I choose?  Is any admiral allowed to go with any nation?  Is it going to be 300 pts in a fleet? Gross Admiral Raeder This will be an Axis or Ally  Tourney. Example If you choose a Admiral from UK, That is YOUR Nation. You may however use other Allied Units. Your Admiral does not give any benifit to "Foriegn" Units. Also You have to pay 2 additional pts, for units not from your Home Country. Your UK admiral can have Wildcats, but you must pay 2 extra pts for them each. Another example. I pick Donitz, I may use Japanese Carriers and Aircraft, but at a cost of 2 pts more for each unit taken that is not German. My Donitz Fleet consists of I-19's and U boats.  Only the U boats gain any Benifit from Donitz. French Admirals- If you pick one of these, you must declare if you are fighting as an Axis or Allied Player. This is the side you will fight on for the remainder of the tourney. You will know your Fleet size for each game and what the map will look like before the game is played. packertim thanks, that helped immensely!!!!!!!!!!!!!! packertim and these units can oly be approved cards, not set 1 (and definately not set 2 cards)  correct? But I can buy 2 of them, or 3,4.... I wrote this with the intentions of starting  a few weeks before release. And having More players So... --Ammendment #1 Build a 400pt Fleet. No more then 150 pts may be spent on Task Force Units. (one of you might already have them? ) And PM that list. 3 Opponents will be selected Randomly 4 Games Begin   If your not familiar with the Die Roller, Now is the time to Practice If you can do maps, I would Greatly Appreciate the Help. ( My Map Making skills are weak, but using Image shack Helps) Since there is a Odd number of Brackets, and this is  Double elimination, There are a winners and losers bracket. The strongest "Loser" will fight the weakest "Winner" Strength will be determined on How Many Pts you have lost from Unit Losses collectively through tournament. Unit Cost = pts. In the event that there are 3 "Losers" left and 1 "Winner"left the 2 Weakest Losers will have a "playoff". I have no idea how to do a map but am willing to learn with directions in English, not in computer speak. This might be difficult. i perused the tutorial on map handling in the online matches forumn and closed it after reading the first paragraph, it made my head hurt. I'm a tweener, I can't help it.   I'll practice with the dice roller also but let me warn you waaaay in advance, your format for this is changing daily it seems, now it's 400 points, Task Force can be used but something about only 150 points of your fleet? PM the fleet to you or Evil Kobra? But then you can change it after or is this the fleet you use for the entire tournament? Reserve points? I am confused. I would really like to participate in this if you guys have the time and patience to have me in it. The_lucky_Y should we wiat with fleet setup until next sunday  so everybody can have taskforce units in his fleet or do we post a normal fleet 250 points without any task force units and 150 points on task force units + spare units for replenishing losses. I suggest a 200 point main fleet  , 50 points reserves and 150 point reserves from task force. The_lucky_Y for maps you need an Imageshack or other platform account and at least windows paint i made all my maps with windows paint packertim so, in about 50 mins we just come on this thread and tell you who our admiral is /  Everyone gets the Admiral they want?   Q:  Do your losses follow you as long as you stay in winner's bracket? Q can we pick one admiral once or can be there duplicates because some admirals are very useful other does that not. packertim that one was answered last night.  you can pick a unit from your ally, but it costs 2 pts more (an I19 by German player would be 15 pts.)  and any benefit from the Admiral would nt apply.
