Just as long as we get this tourney rolling again I honestly dont care who is doing the maps! Its only a Friendly anyway... And as Raevski and Aquarius INHERITED respon. for it and kept it going for G.admiral R I honestly have no complaints about their conduct or their determination to see the Tourney through to the end.
Hell, I have trouble finding time to play more then one full turn at a time, I dont know how they find time to be mods, run this sucker and find time to have a life, pay bills, work etc....

Should be fun, 2 big monsters against 2 big monsters, some subs and some destroyers. Good stuff. My Kamikaze will be the deciding factor in this game! Or not.

I just knew you were going to go BB heavy...
I was worried that you might go sub swarming with yamato as a fall-back, Guess the german heavy pair now have the chance to earn their spurs (this will be the first time I have had the opp. to work a pair of bismarcks) . I had thought about a gaster/uboat swarm with sharn/Gnies as fall-backs and all my 109's... guess german intel was spot on this time

It's pretty easy to see where this game will go- the subs will likely make the difference. A lucky vital hit would also swing it.

The map will be a key factor, shoels and islands that channel movement or mask guns will make life interesting.
I was sure you would take some zero's for DD strafing... thus the 109's... but now it seems that a last gaster might have been a better call.

I saw no need for Zero's since you had no bombers. My fleet just doesn't add up real well. Only 4 ships.
The map might make a big difference if the range 5 comes into play for Tirpitz but 13 dice to get 10 hits is difficult. We'll see. Where is the map anyway??

I think we might have to wait a while longer...
ND seems a bit occupied at the moment.
I had thought that 1st turn zero's strafing gasters would have been on the cards... Im now stuck with two fighters that will stay grounded! ho-hum, at least they are in no danger of being shot down, unless I go for the hari-kari option and strafe Musashi!

Ok, the map is up, this should be quick and bloody. You chose the left side which means I get the right side.
You're setting up first and I am unable to do maps at work so for now, let's just write the moves down and keep track that way, planes should not be a factor at all unless you try and strafe with the 109's which would be a possibility.

This is almost impossible without a map and having the ships on it. Im going home in a little while and will try to get this map to work in photoshop. I already screwed up last turn and lost a sub but probably would have shot at your subs rather than a destroyer.
I will use the current positions as posted and continue the turn if I can get the map to work.
I do see surface attacks and want to make sure where your ships are-

Ok, here is the map with our ships on it, as posted this turn.
Unfortunately, I'm still in the air phase and you're firing sub torpedoes. lol
You will see on the map that the U-Boat 513 is in G7 and is harassed by my destroyer and would get 1 less torpedo. Everyone handles these problems differently but it's kind of a big deal since you did score a hit. I don't know that the results will be different with 3 dice or 4 but it should be re-rolled at least.

Harassment occurs if a unit with an ASW value is in the same or adjacent sector during the submarine phase or if an ASW attack occurs anytime during the turn and stacks so if a plane attacks a sub, a destroyer is in the same sector, AND a sub chaser is adjacent to the sub, it would be a total harassment of 3 but the sub ALWAYS gets a torpedo shot, at least 1 which I don't like but that's my personal opinion.
Same or adjacent is the key factor-
It worked out, you still got the hit, it was a productive turn for both of us.

Your Admiral's card states that objectives can't be claimed the turn the ability is used so it doesn't matter that the destroyers only move 2 sectors. Sorry. Map upcoming with all moves-

now all ya need to do is vape gaster and tirpitz and the playing field is almost even.
(two torp hits on yamato a good start tho... You know, apart from my ER 5 shot the gun rolls in this game have been diabolic. all our BB's could achieve was to vape destroyers! law of averages says its got to change soon.... thus my reluctance to move into 18d6 range of your big beasty!).
