Time for your semi-finals match.

The map is the same. The new limit is 150 pts. Each of the three objectives is for 50 pts and you win at 150 pts.

We play historical limits and each ground-base can hold 6 aircraft.

I Wish I could field More then 3 Kolns. I would take like 6 of them.

Well His last 2 Fleets were basically the same. lotsa Javs and Truculents.

My build I think will reflect that. If he Changes Up, I may be in Trouble.

Originally, I was thinking I'd take an all auxilliery fleet, but the Brits don't have a transport, so I was thwarted in that objective.  Then I was thinking an all Exeter fleet, cruisers rock, but they have a historical limit...

I guess you're right, my previous post was designed to be so rediculous as to be out of the question, but yeah, needless to say I can, in actuallity, neither confirm nor deny the presence of a baker's dozen of Exeters in my build, nor will I comment on the possible presence of the Habukkuk ice carrier

sorry for white spots, as you can see air placement phase complete, four sea hurricanes attacking the three Galster group, four swordfish attacking the lower Koln/2Galster group, your anti-air,  note all hurricanes are strafing and will always be strafing this game (just in case I forget to say it later), also note, on fish stayed home, assigned to airbase, no re-arming counter

Honestly, It was the Most Logical way to fight a swarm Of Javs IMO.

I have no fighters, He does, Well No planes then,Mine would be Easy Kills for him and a Huge waste of 36 pts, six Kondors or, 42 pts for six stukas.

His Specialty is Destroyers, and they are really cheap!
Any attempted Sub Warefare is Futile against this fleet. Eventually all your subs will either get 1 die to attack with all the time or it will be dead. Those were the options with using Subs. His Swords are just icing on that cake! 8)

So when Designing my fleet I new he would have alot of Surface vessels and this is no Small Map  Smile
The only Option I had was DD's in this regard! 8pts ea. 30 Nordmarks would have been cool, but lame at the same time.
I flirted with lots of combinations between Spees, Scharnhorst, and Bizzy.

I chose Bizzy for its Torp. Defense I would need against all those Javs.

When I hit Submit I was thinking basically his fleet from round 2, modified with Rodney.
and I hope he has No subs.(don't want to lose to my Specialty Embarassed )
After I saw his Fleet My first thought was, F'n Sweet, this is going to be a Fun Game, Neither side has a sub.

ok, here's my move added on to yours, not much blood yet, my four swordfish are up on the top Koln group, it is your anit-air phase,  please note Javelin 1 and Javelin 8 will be laying smoke this turn, this will not effect your shooting (you shoot first), but it will effect next turn's shooting, I'm going to bed now, have fun shooting my swordfish, don't shoot too well

Javs 5,6 are definately a clear shot, Javs 3,4 looks pretty close, but I just went to paint and drew a line between there and it looked as if it was a clear shot, just wanted to make sure we were on the same page as far as who could see what.  So to reiterate, I'd say Bismarck can see Javs 3, 4.

Hey, I put up an extra destroyer on the map, Galster 7 was torped the first turn, that's my faulty map-making.  It's your AA now, I think, that the line-of-sight issue is worked out.

ok, so I know that was long and split up, but I wanted to make sure I got the most out of it and layed smoke at the correct time,

results, all ships in the two southern groups have face down destroyed counters, Galster 3 will be crippled after this turn

there is smoke in E5 and F6

you asked before, so here is the rundown on smoke, if LOS goes through any portion of a sector with smoke, it is blocked, if you shoot into a sector with smoke I get concealment with a 5,6

This upcoming gunnery is critical, if I come up with some smoke rolls I'm in pretty good shape, if I don't, it won't be pretty, then who knows, torpedoes are a fickle mistress.

do you get a cover roll muliple times form one ship, ex. Bizzy shoots at DD with all 3 weapon systems, do you get 3 cover rolls?

or in other words I shoot at 1 dd with a dd and use both guns and toprps, do you get 2 cover rolls

BTW your cover roll is a 6 if we are both in the same screen

Smoke in E5 and smoke in F6, so saves on a five or six from outside sector, saves on 6 from inside, as I understand it, I get one cover roll for each hit.  Please note that you can't shoot through smoke either, so some of you shots are blocked a bit.
