We don't use the extended Rules as many haven't bought them and they are not available online. So, we stick to the original ones that everybody is familiar with: http://www.wizards.com/avalonhill/rules/aam_rulebook.pdf
Use the AAM units database http://www.wizards.com/avalonhill/aam_db.asp for units for which you don't have the cards. Alternatively you can use: http://www.hordelings.com/frontend/games/aam/items.php or http://www.boardgamegeek.com/file...oad/23758/A&A_Minis_stats.xls
The Map for the first round (you deploy in the far left and far right hex columns):
Use the embedded dice-roller for the dice and make your own images with gimp, paintbrush or any other image editing software. You simply write down the name of the unit on its hex and then post the image on a photobucket account. If you need any help all moderators can help you and most users of this forum.

how far in do we set up and what is victory conditions
|
NeuralDream
|
You setup only on the far left or far right column. The map is too small to allow the normal 5 hexes of depth.
The victory condition is the typical one. From the manual:
| Code: | | At the end of turn 7’s end of turn phase, the player who controls the objective wins the game. Keep track of turns. You control the objective if you are the only player with a unit adjacent to it. If neither player has won at the end of turn 10, count the point costs of the units on the battle map and any surviving Aircraft that were placed at least once. The player whose units are worth the most points is the winner. If you’re still tied, play until a turn ends with one player controlling the objective or with one player ahead in points. |
We are now waiting for iniju to pm me his army.

do you disagree its touch and go

It can't.
Btw, good job with the map, but make sure you note directions of vehicles (because for example the char, if facing towards the enemy, can get two shots). Use an arrow or something.

Yeah, it's just that until now, there was no need for the facing. I'll take care of it, no worries. Btw, I can't see the map from work, must be the firewall blocking photobucket...
|
RAEVSKI

everything the same bar pz4 one hex back facing left up sorry, I thouht you mov ed first but that was your assult move from previous turn.
once again many apolgies.
|
iniju

No worries.
So in my assault phase, char, renault2, and the soldiers all do what did before.
But since you moved your panzer, my renault1 can see you, so it will try a very long shot from A3 to your panzer at D10, rolls 5d6 Rolls: (5d6)

Yoohoo!! Four successes against defense of three, that is 2 hits, that is disrupted and damaged counters... ...for which I now need to find icons.
Let me know if I made any mistake.
At the end of revised round 1 the map should like that (ok, the airplane shouldn't be on the map, but I like to see it):

I thought your move Feb 22 2.23am was your 1st move in Round two so I thinking that I was doing movement for round 2.
I will not move in assault turn 1
You are First Player turn 2
You move, then I'll move and that will fix it
the confusion is mine sorry.
|
RAEVSKI
|
or am i first player turn two
|

Yes, I got the initiative for round 2 (although that post along with others have gone missing) and I decided you play first. Is round 1 correct (make sure you refresh the page using F5, so that the map-image is refreshed).

d10 for pz4
if we start again at turn 2 it will fix everything i'd didn,t want to move in assault turn 1, the mistake from my end thought your assualt move in turn 1 was turn twos 1st move so i moved believing i could shoot.
turn 1 is correct. turn two needs fixing. you might want to move your r35 again.
|
iniju
|
See the problem with what you describe is that the last map shown IS the end of turn 1.
We haven't played anything in turn 2, yet, or at least we haven't played anything final in turn 2 yet. The few moves you played, I've ignored them after your request.
If you are happy with last map shown (post #10089), we can play turn 2, otherwise, let me know what I should fix.
For clarification map at post #9673 shows the end of move phase of turn 1.
The map at post #10089 shows the end of casualty phase of turn 1, that is the end of turn 1.
Maps have now labels, lower right.
The question boils down to this: What is the correct position of your panzer at end of turn 1. If it is D10, then my renault1 attacked it. If not then where should it be?
The history of moves is this:
Turn 1 - Move phase: RAEVSKI
Hans: A8
Frits: A8
Pz: C10
Turn 1 - Move phase: Iniju
Renault1: A3
Renault2: E3
Char: C4
MAS1: B2
MAS2: D2
Bren: C2
----- map of post #9673 taken here -----
Turn 1 - Aircraft phase: RAEVSKI
Me109: B1 attacks MAS1@B2, no hits
Turn 1 - Assault phase: RAEVSKI
Pz: D10
Turn 1 - Assault phase: Iniju
Renault1: attacks Pz, 2 hits
Renault2: E5
Char: B6
MAS1: attacks Me109, no hits
MAS2: D3
Bren: C3
----- map of post #10089 taken here -----
I have initiative for turn 2, I decide you play first and I'm waiting you to finalize your moves. In turn 2 aircraft phase you attacked bren for four successes, but bren had cover roll which is still pending.
EITHER
There is something wrong in the above sequence, in which case please fix it and post the right sequence up to the fixed point. Then we continue from there.
OR
We play turn 2, starting with your move phase.
Your call
|
RAEVSKI
|
it stays put in Assualt and moves to that position D10 in turn 2 in movement.so turn 2 is my move but you might want to move r35 because it doesn't move
|
RAEVSKI
|
No assaault move for PZ4 turn one
|
iniju
|
Ok then I move my renault1 to B5 during the assault phase. And lo, we ended up with the original version of turn 1, before the first rewind.
The map should look like that at the end of turn 1:
|
iniju
|
Now Turn 2 - Move Phase.
You said Pz: D10, anything else?
|
RAEVSKI
|
Thats it
Hans and fritz to R35 viaa7
Pz4 to d10 facing left up

MAS2: C4
Bren: C4

Please play your Aircraft phase for turn 2

PS: all maps are updated, to our official version.

|
iniju
|
It's the same I think. We don't have the previous attack's post, but I think it was two hits.
This one is also two hits.
In any case we said we would keep the rolls.
Anyway my cover roll Rolls: (1d6)
|
iniju
|
Please play your assault phase
|
RAEVSKI
|
cool Hans assalts r35
Rolls: (6d6)
|
RAEVSKI
|
fritz on r35
Rolls: (6d6)
|
RAEVSKI
|
pz4 on char
Rolls: (9d6)
and thats your assaut then
|
RAEVSKI
|
cover roll will not stop you from being distrupted, it stops you from being destroyed or damaged.
|
iniju
|
Ok, so I get a face-down disrupted on bren and
a face-down disrupted and a face-down damaged on Renault1.
Char is unharmed, no need for cover roll.
My assault phase:
Renault2 attacks Pz: Rolls: (7d6)
|
iniju
|
That's one hit.
Char attacks Pz: Rolls: (8d6)
|
iniju
|
The Char made 2 hits, that's 3 in total, so Pz gets a face-down destroyed counter, unless I missed something.
The Char uses its ability to make an extra attack on the paras: Rolls: (7d6)
|
iniju
|
Bren attacks Hans: Rolls: (7d6)
|
iniju
|
Hans gets a face-down destroyed counter.
Renault1 attacks Frits: Rolls: (6d6)
|
iniju
|
MAS1 attacks Frits: Rolls: (6d6)
|
iniju
|
MAS2 also attacks Frits: Rolls: (6d6)
|
iniju
|
The results from these attacks are:
Bren: disrupted
Renault1: damaged
Pz: destroyed
Hans: destroyed
Please correct me if I missed anything.
So at the end of Turn 2, before we remove the destroyed units the map should look like this:
|
iniju
|
Phew, it's 4am here. I'm going to sleep. I'll be off for the next two days, more or less.
Initiative for Turn 3: Rolls: (2d6)

fritz moves to c4
para w]moves to d7
you move then air phase
|
iniju
|
Hey are you sure, about Fritz moving to C4? that would cause like 3 defensive fires from my infantries. Did you mean B4?
|
RAEVSKI
|
Fritz going to b4
you are correct.
|
iniju
|
I'm back to my town. My move now:
Renault1: stays put.
Renault2: B6
Char: stays put.
Bren: stays put.
MAS1: C4
MAS2: C5
Ready for your aircraft phase and the map at the end of move phase of turn 3 looks like:
|
RAEVSKI
|
plane to b5
attack r35
Rolls: (4d6)
|
RAEVSKI
|
para at mas 2
Rolls: (7d6)
|
RAEVSKI
|
Hans at bren
Rolls: (6d6) ?
I think i do not have my cards with me at the moment i'll fix if incorrect
|
NeuralDream
|
If by Hans (who has died) you mean Fritz, then your attack is 8/6/-. But you succeeded with only 6 dice, so no need to roll the other two. Now iniju goes for cover.
|
RAEVSKI
|
Yes fritz and here are the extra dice
Rolls: (2d6)
|
iniju
|
Cover roll for bren-man: Rolls: (1d6)
|
iniju
|
Renault1 attacks para: Rolls: (6d6)
|
iniju
|
Nothing to see there, so Renault2 attacks para: Rolls: (6d6)
|
iniju
|
Still no fireworks, so Char attacks para: Rolls: (7d6)
|
iniju
|
Char's extra attack from ability targets the notorious para, rolls 7d6: Rolls: (7d6)
|
iniju
|
Bren on Frits: Rolls: (8d6)
|
iniju
|
MAS1 on Frits: Rolls: (8d6)
|
iniju
|
One hit on Frits.
MAS2 on Frits too: Rolls: (8d6)
|
RAEVSKI
|
is that init if so
Rolls: (2d6)
|
iniju
|
So at the end of the attack phase of turn 3 and correct me if I'm wrong:
Bren stays disrupted and Frits gets a destroyed counter.
Map should look like (before we remove destroyed units):
|
iniju
|
Initiative for turn 3: Rolls: (2d6)
|
RAEVSKI

i'm copping a hammering, the Renaults are very good and cheap i picked the wrong army to fight them.

iniju

Indeed the renault should be more expensive, they are amazing.
My moves:
Renault1: C6, facing south
Renault2: C7, facing south
Char: stays put, facing south
Bren: rests
MAS1: D5
MAS2: D5
After the move phase of turn 4 the map should look like:
Your aircraft phase.
