Road bonus = Free road hex even if no movement points left?My buddy Geoteach and I were just play-testing a scenario. At the end, he wanted to contest an objective hex. In order to reach it though, his T-34/76 had to move four hexes with the last move being on to a road hex. He suggested that he could take a free hex at the end as a road bonus. Is this true?

If the move from the 4th to 5th hex is done along the road, he can.

Road bonus requires a continuous movement along road (or town) of at least 2 hexes.
One hex along road = one movement point
2 hex along road = one movement point

One hex along road = one movement point
2 hex along road = one movement point |
What I'm unclear about is: he had to use his last movement point to get cross a hex side to get on to the road in the first place, so his first move ALONG a road or town would have been the free one
Doesn't this make the difference?

It doesn't. Your opponent is right.

Im pretty sure that that means he gets no bonus...he has to move across the road to go farther dosent he? and if he has no movement left, well, he cannot go farther can he?

Doesn't apply at all. Moving along a road is defined as moving between two adjacent hexes connected by a road. The road bonus rules state that the first hex that a vehicle moving along a road enters is free. According to your description this vehicle does not meet the definition of 'moving along a road' so there is no way it can gain the free hex from road movement.

If a vehicle uses its last Movement Point to enter a road hex and has not yet used its Road Bonus, it may move one hex along the road even though it has no Movement Points left.
