ND, per one of those bargain-rack encyclopedias from my local Waldenbooks, the P-40B/C could pack 700# of bombs, and per the official USAF factsheet the -E packed same. Kind of a nuisance that they don't give fighters near as much detail coverage as bombers (every major version of the B-17, -24, -25, -26 and -29 as its own factsheet), but there's a goldmine at http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/research/aircraft/index.asp that should help.

Thanks DB. If I'm not mistaken they were fitted with bombs much later, while the others were designed with them. Also, it depends on the nation that operated each model and a few more factors. I have no data in front of me now, but I envision several P-40 models with minor basic stats differences, but with different S.A.s and bomb loadouts.
Thank you for the link .
