Overrun vs Defensive Fire; Bridge Demolition vs Barbed Wire

1) A vhicle with the Overrun SA enters a hex with a soldier and dirupts him. The soldier makes a Definsive Fire attack while the vehicle is in his hex. Does the soldier gets disrupted before he makes Defensive fire, or afterwards?

2) The Bridge Demolition SA states that the unit can destroy a obstacle in its hex in the Asssault Phase instead of firing or moving. What about Barbed Wire? Technically it's in no hex. Can it therefore not be destroyed by units with the Bridge Demoliton SA?
