Off-tournament game: BRI/JAP * Singapore 1942

Here you can find map and battle details:

Armies
- British defensive scenario. British 100 pts, japanese 125 pts.
- Mines, pillboxes, command vehicle counters & trenches available.
- Number of placed installations (above) may not exceed number of deployed friendly units.
- Only one aircraft, no airdrops and no tanks allowed in the army
(as all this was very rare in that theatre; other vehicles may be used).

Deployment zone:
Special. North-South deployment.
- Attacker 2 hexes from the edge; must use landing barges if no more land is available (use US landing craft with its parameters).
- Defender (British) deploys 2 hexes around the objectives. Obstacles may be placed up to 4 hexes from defender deployment zone (as on cards).
 
Tips for beginners
- none, we are not beginners Wink

Winning conditions
- objectives have equal value. After 7th turn, if each of the objectives is held by undisrupted opponent units, the game continues until 10th turn. After that, if there is still a stalemate, army value becomes the victory condition.

Oh, well, being an office clerk has some advantages Wink
Mines are one-time affair. Used mines are discarded. Optionally, you may place more than 1 mine/hex and form a minefield - then only one mine is revealed each time.

I would prefer if only one person makes the map, as now I have to re-paint all your units on my version of the map (movements saved in .jpg format cannot be updated).

None of mines was real.

As for the Covering fire:- you have to score in order to disrupt the unit as with ordinary Defensive fire.
However the unit is disrupted immediately, with reduced attack and defense - so it is not as bad as it seems  Wink (but even with more hits scored by this attack, the enemy cannot be more than disrupted...)

Sorry about that, Arisaka-1 stays, should read the cards, all the way, before moving.  Thought mines had to equal defense. The 3 hits actually makes them move effective.

I cite from the Counters & Fields List for HHR (ver 3.0 issued and linked before the tournament):

AAM: -
HHR: Cost 1 pt. See the card for details (Set 4). Laid up to 4 hexes from deployment zone. Two false traps included in price. If a Soldier enters the hex with the real trap counter, turn it and make a roll.
Engineers may enter the mined hex w/o penalty. Once used, discard the counter.

Try: You may place up to 3 false/real mines on one hex.


However, I respect that not everybody is able to download from that particular server and there are a lot of differences to remember so I have judged that in your game the mine-or-not-mine was not the main reason of Raevski defeat.

For clarification, what is the Isuzu truck?

The card says that it is a Soldier-Artillery, but based on your attack, it would appear to be a vehicle.  Having it be a vehicle makes more sense.

Isuzu truck is a vehicle (of course, a truck is A vehicle) and Sindor is a moron Laughing There are still some mistakes to be corrected. BTW infantry with the defense 1/1 would not be playable.

No, it uses "only" Short/Medium/Long range modifiers (-2/-1/0 for ground units only Smile
