We need more info.
Can we pre-release our Ideas?
That way, no one would have similar scenario development.
A specific dead line would be appreciate NOW, so I will enforce my brain to work on something FUN and Realistic.
I got many scenario on shelves, but they are pre-chew ones... None have been tested and map disposition is alway a pain with the 3" hexes.
Please Give us more info. It finally takes longer to develop
a good scenario than scratch building a AAM units

Better don't pre-release your ideas, because the contest's entries will lose the surprise effect. Also, the probability that two contestants will make the same scenario for the same battle is extremely low and in the rare case that it happens, it will still be a matter of who made the best.
You will have sufficient time to make the scenario (probably more than 2 weeks) and it will have to do with paratroopers. We haven't decided the final details of the contest yet, but there will be a limit of text and images you can use to describe it. I'll be announcing details before the weekend.

Paratroopers... mmm. I will not enter then. It is too limited, and I have already made 3 scenarios about the Fallschirmjäger. I even got a Russian Elite Paratrooper scenario design.
And honestly, 2 weeks with research effort and concise development of tactics transpose in AAM mechanics is not enough for me.
Next time maybe.

what paratroopers? where all these conditions come from? 
pls respond and do not ignore this question:
what are the other challenges? one must know in order to decide if he will continue participating to this ... competition or we let the boat guys sort that for themselves

Hi Red Baron, there will be approximately 10 challenges in total, but we haven't decided them all. 8 or so will be common, this one will be AAM-only and one will be WAS-only. I don't know the complete schedule yet. (We, ) the three admins are discussing them while the olympics are running. Everyone can suggest challenges/events and in fact, we get dozens of pms with many different ideas for olympic events every day. Obviously we try to read them all and we try to make events that accommodate everyone and that we can realistically hold, but that's usually not possible with most of the suggestions.

i did a scenario a few years ago about the german assault on Crete.
cant wait for the week end and see what book i'll pick up...

Can I use the AAM:HHR rules for that? I would like to use some special features unavailable in WotC system...

Ummm...Why is it limited at all. It should just be the best overall scenario. I'm not opposed to doing one involving paras...but it restricts alot of campaigns.

Best of luck to all the participants! I might sit this one out to work my other projects. I only have so much time to go around, but all the same I'd like to see what everyone comes up with and I will certainly make time to play all the scenarios that come out from this contest.
