200 Point infantry support armies

Hey,
These 2 armies are infantry support, they aren't ment to be fast but they are ment to do the job.  They are for Soviet and British forces.  I will be developing Axis armies like this later.  Well here they are, British first.

Archer x1 = 21 points
Churchill IV x1 = 28 points
Matilda II x1 = 13 points
Mk. VII Tetrarch x1 = 12 points
Spitfire Ace x1 = 17 points
Bren Machine Gunner x4 = 20 points
Owen SMG x2 = 6 points
SMLE Rifle x2 = 6 points
Gurkha Rilfemen x1 = 4 points
Defiant Paratroopers x1 = 8 points
Concealed Fwd. Observer x1 = 9 points
Royal Engineers x1 = 10 points
Inspiring Hero x1 = 9 points
Inspiring Lt. x1 = 10 points
17 Pounder Antitank gun x2 = 32 points

So my plan is that the 2 antitank guns will act as a fall back defense incase I would need to retreat, they would hold any tanks off of my troops.  The SMG's would stay with the antitank guns to protect them from incoming infantry.  The Mk.VII and Defiant Paras would drop in to take out any pesky artillery or infantry trasnports.  The tanks will scout a little bit ahead taking out early armor, then in comes the infantry to deal with what ever is left.  The Spitfire will fly around picking off key infantry, such as snipers, mg's, and commanders.  Also if a retreat is required the Bren's will pin down incoming infantry while the rest of my troops retreat.  I think it's pretty good, even though it's not my play style. What do you think?

Now for Soviets:

IS-2 Veteran x2 = 134 points
Valentine VI x1 = 17 points
Fanatical Sniper x3 = 24 points
Communist Partisans x1 = 3 points
82mm Mortar x1 = 11 points
Cossack Cavalrymen x1 = 4 points
Cavalrymen(polish) x1 = 4 points
PPSh-41 SMG x2 = 6 points

Here's the plan.  The IS-2's will roll out picking off enemy armor early while the infantry slowly move up.  The Valentine will stay with the infantry incase of a tank encounter.  The partisans will go in and take out artillery early or possibly close assault infantry transports.  The snipers and mortar will provide cover while the SMG's move up to rake enemy infantry and also provide cover if a retreat is necassary.  The cavalry will ride ahead taking out Fwd. Observers, artillery, or key infantry targets.  Both are generaly supposed to do the same thing.  What do you think?

Here are the axis armies both set up in this style, they are Jaoanese and German.  German first:

Panzer IV Ausf. E x2 = 30 points
Bf109e x2 = 28 points
Panzer II Flamingo x1 = 14 points
Panzer II Ausf. F x1 = 10 points
Fortress Defender x1 = 2 points
Panzergrenadier x2 = 10 points
Muaser Kar 98k x2 = 6 points
Luftwaffe Infantry x2 = 6 points
SS Panzergrenadier x2 = 14 points
Wehrmacht Veteran Infantry x3 = 15 points
SS Stormtroopers x1 = 7 points
SS Haupsturmfuhrer x1 = 7 points
7.5cm Lel G18 x2 = 14 points
Pak 38 x2 = 20 points
88mm Flak 36 x1 = 19 points

So the goal here is for the Panzer IV's to go tank hunting early to eliminate early armor.  The Panzer II's will stick with the infantry to provide antitank support.  The luftwaffe will join the 3 Vets and go down hunting infantry.  All the SS units will be together and take out anything in their path.  The Panzergrenadiers and the Mausers will be a normal infantry hunting group, possibly close assaulting.  The 88 will blow apart enemy armor and give cover to whatever needs it incase of a retreat.  The Pak 38's will provide antitank support incase of a retreat and the G18's will provide infantry support.  The artillery is mostly their incase I must fall back to base and regroup to try a new strategy.  What do you think?

Here come the Japanese:

Type 97 Te-Ke Tankette x2 = 14 points
Type 2 Ka-Mi x1 = 9 points
Type 95 Ha-go x1 = 9 points
Imperial Sniper x1 = 8 points
Imperial Sergeant x1 = 9 points
SNLF Fanatics x2 = 14 points
Azad Hind Fauj Infantry x6 = 18 points
SNLF Paratroopers x9 = 45 points
Type 89 Mortar x6 = 54 points
70mm Type 92 x2 = 20 points

This is all about the paras.  The Te-ke's will stay with the infantry to provide antitank support while the Ha-Go and Ka-Mi go tank huniting.  The fanatics and the sergeant will travel together and I think you know why.  The Azad Hind Fauj will be my main ground infantry taking out whatever infantry or artillery they come across.  The 70 mm's will be artillery support incase of retreat, as for the mortars too.  Now for the paras.  The 6 mortars who will probably be in groups of 3 will soften up the enemy.  Then in come the paras, as a whole force or in groups of 3, maybe one group 5 and one group 4.  Changes will be made to the amount of paras in each drop as required.  So it's mainly infantry swarm but fits the other armies style's as well with the ability to retreat because of artillery support.  I almost forgot the sniper who will be hiding out picking off infantry, most likely high value targets.  I like, as I love my paras.  What do you think?

P.S. Don't say I have too much Paras, you can never have too many paras  Very Happy

Any and all suggestions are welcome. Very Happy

Your British force seems very situational. This build seems best on a more open map. It all depends on your 17 pounders being able to take out enemy armor. If you can't get those in the game then a typical 200 pt build will be able to defeat this build. The problem is your big tanks (Churchill and Matilda) don't have the range nor the firepower to take out a good tank you would typically see in a 200 pt build. Try working in a Firefly.

Also, without some type of mobility your spotter will be of limited use. He will have to hoof it to get in range so your planes can get that extra die. Give him some cheap transport and get him up there where he needs to be. Also, since you have a spotter for your planes you should try to work in some form of indirect fire, although you'll have to borrow. What is it with the UK and no indirect fire?

And don't forget to use your Brens on offense as well. Their Covering Fire SA combined with the Tally Ho SA of the Inspiring Lieutenant makes for good assaults although not quite as good as the Germans or Japanese can pull off.

Just curious, in your JP build, why go with the AHF infantry when the Arisaka has the same states and plus Hand to Hand 12? Arisaka seems the better choice.

Because I have 5 AHF's and only 2 arisakas.  I will be throwing a Japanese plane in there, hopefully today if my minis come in.
