100 point german build (no air and support units)After a rapid growth of my AAM collection (my germans and russians in particular) I thought I wanted to try out some vanilla AAM instead of playing around with HHR rules and pieces of paper with unit names on them (will use AAM minis as soons as I have the units I want). I made this build yesterday:
PantherA, 37 points
MarderIII M, 17 points
Opel Blitz, 4 points
Kübelwagen, 3 points
7.5cm lelG18, 7 points
Spotter, 3 points
MG 42, 10 points
Veteran inf. , 5 points
SSHaup, 7 points
SS-Stormtrooper, 7 points
My idea was to use the truck and the jeep to ferry inf quick onto objectives and park the howitzer somewhere save and use spotter rain to hell on enemy inf. My own SS and vet inf would keep their heads down untill enemy vehicles were forced to move onto objectives and then close-assaulted to death, the Panther and Marder would of course try to kill enemy vehicles before that could happen. What do you think? So far Ive used it once and it didnt work out quite as good as I had hoped Suggestions/improvements? And what russian army would you use to counter this build if you went up against it?
ps. I only got one vet. inf. so I cant add more of those

Panther may be a good piece, but it is to cosly for a 100 point game. I would swap it out for Panzer IVs or Stug IIIs and more infanry

Yea I agree. It is expensive, especially in a 100 point game. If you take it out you get 49 more points for whatever you want.

The Panther A is 37 points...I could use a PzIVG instead, that leaves me with 15 points...since I dont have more vet. inf. then I would have to replace them with Mausers, maybe a Halftrack and three mausers?

Swap out the Panther for a Hetzer (20pts), a Mortar (11) and 2 spotter (6)

I dont have a Hetzer and Im not intending to getting one, but I made this build instead:
PzIVG, 22
MarderIIIM, 17
German inf. plt, 16
Vet inf, 5
Stormtrooper, 7
spotter, 3
sGrW 34 mortar, 11
2x Opel, 8
Sd Kfz. 251 halftrack.
99 total.
Im not sure if I should go with the mortar and spotter or if I should use a StuGIIID instead, it would make my army more mobile but it's on the other hand not quite as deadly Any thoughts? My idea behind this build is kinda the same, rush inf. onto objective(s), harras enemy inf. with mortar and set up MG42 in blocking position, tanks try to find a good spot to use extended range. And then I got this little crazy idea with the halftrack and stormtropper;
the stormtrooper starts inside the halftrack, then, if enemy tanks and AT units isent advancing along with enemy inf/trucks it is my plan to get in close and use fighting platform and then unloading the stormtrooper next turn (hey, he got def. 5/5 ) to block the enemy advance.
