German Builds

Germany DAK [100 Points] {1942}
1x German Anti-Tank Platoon 27 [27] 5 [5]
3x Elite Panzer IV Ausf  D 54 [81] 3 [8]
3x Luftwaffa Infantrymen 9 [90] 3 [11]
1x Amo Dump 10 [100] 1 [12]
Sink the Bismark

Very nice, I'm not sure if it has enough AI though.

It's got pleny of tank s ! Mr. Green

The basic Tactics.
-Put the Ammo Dump, the Luftwaffe-Infantry and the PAK in the rear in cover [Woods if possible]
-Use the remaining Infantry to Support the three Elite Panzer IVs.
All of this does depend on my Opponent.
If he does not bring any Aircraft, Paratroopers or Partisans a have a good amount of infantry, I can just use the PAK to protect my Ammo Dump.
I there are any Aircraft, Paratroopers or Partisans I will be a little Infantry thin.
The Ammo Dump should let my Panzer IV’s have better luck vs. Infantry; after all, I will only miss on a “2”. Wink

Personally this looks like a fun Build [I have not got to try it yet], but I would rather loose a marginal hard fought battle the an overwhelming victory with hardly any losses.
Sink the Bismark

Quite true, if you take Veteran Tigera, Brumbaars, SS Panzergrenaiders and the like, you'll be almost impossible to beat, but it won't be a really close, competetive game.

Good idea.  You could maybe try dropping the antitank platoon and the luftwaffe infantrymen and add a german infantry platoon, a grizzled veteran, and a flak 38.  The Pak is easily avoidable if used in a static defensive position and most attacks on you ammo dump will come from paratroopers, partisans and planes.  With three elite panzers you should be able to keep enemy Vehicles from gaining LOS to the ammo dump.

I like that Idia, I could do that.
Here are my reasons for leaving it alone though
-If you keep the PAK on Overwatch it restricts your opponents Movement.
-The Luft-Inf is to keep Aircraft at bay and give me the flexability if my opponent does not bring any Aicraft, Para's or Partisans.
-I also thought if I got into a 200 Point Game pulling out enugh Halftracks to put all the "Non-Defending" Infantry Twisted Evil  in or a bunch of BMW's Wink , plus a Stuka's Twisted Evil .

I guess our strategies have different strengths and weaknesses.

Your strategy does not provide for the siezing of the objective.  It defends the ammo dump very well, but you dont win games by defending the ammo dump.  A force of two mausers and three luftwaffe infantrymen is not a force capable of storming the objective against even minor infantry opposition.  Your infantry force will be further reduced fending off your enemy's paratroopers, partisans, and planes.  Your plan seems to be to rectify this by using the tanks as infantry killers but your opponent will have tanks too.  Owing to the low defense of the elite panzer you very likely have at least two of them destroyed in a tank battle.  By switching to the german infantry platoon, a grizzled veteran, and a flak 38 you give yourself a solid infantry force, AA that can cover more than the immediate area around the objective plus take out enemy infantry at long range, and powerful 5/5 infantry capable of taking on enemy 5/5 infantry or destroying tanks with its close assault 8.  Your Elite Panzers can also go on overwatch and restrict movement just as well if not better than the Pak because they are more able to position themselves on good firing lanes.

Sorry if i come across as trashing your strategy, thats not what i mean to do at all.  I just enjoy discussing strategy.

A personal favorite from AAM 1.0:

1x Panzer IV G
1x Hetzer
2x StuG III D
1x Wehrmacht veteran Platoon

I always think the luft-inf is way too overrated. I mean faced with a mustang yeah they might kill it (7,5 remember) but they would be very very lucky to get a kill on a Sturmovik for example. Also the PAK really can't kill infantry...

-I think the Ammo Dump could help alot with killing Aircraft.
-As for the PAK not killing Infantry...That is not its job, thats the Luft-Inf's Job.
Part of this creation was I had 3 Eleite Panzers and an Ammo Dump and everything around that was to suport them. I plan on throwing in a Platoon just as a standard plan for all of my current List.

Beach defense build

I used this build last week on beach assault scenario:
10 fortress defenders
1   pak 40
3   sandbagged mg42
1   masuer kar
3    Nebelwefel
100 pts.

as long your not using 15 limit rule which my friends and I seldom do. and if you do just reduce the number of defenders and add what ever you think you'll for your scenario need. BTW I went agaisnt a 150 pts american build and won only losing 3 defenders ,1 nebelwefer,1 mg42.
