Scenario Playtest; Looking For OpponentHey to all,
As some of you know I have written 2 scenarios that are posted in AAM scenarios. I am looking for an opponent to playtest 1 of these against. If you are interested post here with which scenario you would like to play and which side you'd like to take.

QUESTIONS:
-Recon: Why adjacent and not LOS.
-The P-40 needs to roll 5 or 6 before they can enter the battle and once they enter they can spot and attack.
Thats about it for now.

Hm, these questions are good. I said adjacent because the Japs had good camo and all, seeing them from 500 meters away might be hard.
The P-40 can enter the battle whenever it wants. So it goes in on top of a Arisaka, it rolls a 6, the P40 sees the arisaka attacks it and Japan loses surprise.
Now if you dont mind im gonna add something to the P40 rule to make it more realistic. The Japanese can shoot at the P-40 even if the P-40 fails is recon roll, however this would result in the P-40 discovering the Japanese and the Japanese losing Surprise. Then the question becomes is killing 1 plane worth losing surprise?
Now if you think LOS would be better for recon then I think it could be changed, but LOS within med. range, not long.

Yeah but it's not in the other forest hex. Need a roll for each forest hex, not just the first one, unless you can prove otherwise.

Can you prove that you need to make a roll to enter each forest hex moving from a forest hex?
Logically the terrain doesn't change so why should I have to make another movement roll?

It's a different hex..you look for a "you can" and I will look for a "you can't"...sound fair.

And my arguement against that is it doesn't state where they are coming from. That rule is up for interpretation.

A forest hex is a forest hex, there is no interpretation.

You just had a bad round of die rolls. You still have your main force coming up from the south, plus this is why you playtest things to see the ins and outs, not to win everytime, that is for the the others playing it after it is complete.
