Sink the Bismark

100 point Mobile German Army

Hello,

I got a few NA boosters and was thinking about a 100 point, mobile, armored, German army. Here it is, criticism welcomed

2x Panzer IV Ausf F2
Veteran Panzer III Ausf L
SD KFZ 231
Veteran Fallschirmjager
SD KFZ 251 Half-track
MG42
BMW R75

My plan is to put the MG in the Halftrack, and send that and the BMW to link up with the Paratrooper. The Armoured Car and the Veteran Panzer work together to deal with infantry and light vihecles, staying on the move. The Panzer IVs engage heavy armor.

Sounds good.  Wink
The Mighty A

It looks good.  The only key is to not get flanked (which you should be able to prevent with that build).

a good, balanced force. the only change I think would infallably improve it would be taking out the Veteran Panzer III and putting in the StuG III G. Both are 19 points, but the StuG is a harder hitter.

What if there's no heavy armor?

It loses to a parabomb:

11x Det Para
1x SE Capt

I don't agree. The Vet Panzer is the better piece. Though I think you could sub it for a Stug then take out a PZ IV and drop in a Brummbar for AI.

As for the "It loses to parabomb" argument, you could say that for just about anything. If you're not playing in a tourny then this build should be just fine. Parabomb is one of the most boring builds to play and if your opponent brings that then bore them to death by not engaging. I would rather lose a good game than win in a bore fest.

I should have said that it will fair poorly against an infantry-heavy build.  The parabomb was an extreme example and one you would find primarily in a tournament.

Any build is fair game as long as you have fun.  I would prefer one with more staying power.

That's probably the best way to go. The Brummbar is a beast.
