Panzerjager IV 70 got ripped offI was just looking at the stat cards. While I do not play AAM rules (or even know them) I can tell one thing. They screwed-up the Panzerjager IV-L70. The Panzjager IV had armor thicknesses and slope similar to the Panther, who's armor was MORE effective than a Tiger Is. The L70 gun also had such superior velocity over a Tiger I, it actually had slightly superior penetrating power at closer ranges. Only power at longe range, a turret, a slightly better HE blast, and side armor were the Tigers only real advantage. Not enough to merit a Tiger having defense 7, and panzerjager having only 5, and a 56 to 25 pt price difference. In MY game, if a panzjager / Tiger I go at it head-to-head with out a lot of cover ... the fight goes to the panzerjagrer 6 out of 10 times (and I'm being nice to the Tiger).

Yeah, WOTC is kinda wierd like that, the Panther's gun was the same througout all production models, but the 3 different WOTC models have different stats. And even worse, the Panther D has the EXACT SAME GUN STATS AS THE PANZER IV G

Never noticed that since I've never seen a Panther D card.
Maybe they just thought they were all 7.5 cm guns so the stats must be the same! The Panzer IV G used the KwK 40 L/43 or later in 1943 the upgrade to the L/48 version of the barrel. The Panther D used the KwK 42 L/70 version of the 7.5 cm gun. It had a longer barrel and the shells had a larger charge resulting in a higher muzzle velocity. At standard ranges the Panther gun outperformed the 8.8 cm L/56 gun on the Tiger Is. The Tiger had an advantage at longer ranges however.

In this game the Panzerjager IV-L70 has only a slightly better gun than a T-34/76.
