210 Point UK 1942 BuildAlright, here goes. This build is like most UK builds, quite the weak. I do not respect the UK a hill of beans in this game after 1941. They were extremely effective against things like the Panzer III during NA but after 1942 they suck hard in this game. Sorry, brutal but honest. That being said this army isn't built to win. No UK army is built to win after 1942 with only standing snowballs chance if they run with VC-17 pounders. 1942= No VC 17s so UK =/screwed.
3rd and 4th platoon clearly have more lend lease units. Most of this army is Lend Lease, only 3 units show US on them though. Problem here is that since they're US units technicly one of these two 100 point blocks shouldn't be 105 points since it isn't UK pure... Buuuut since the same set came out with an exactly identical UK unit i'm going to fudge this one and tell whoever wants to make a point of it to just keep that one to themselves. I'm clear and cool with this and I'm sure sane normal people would see my point of view. Tournament Directors don't count as sane normal people.

Alright, well here goes with the insanity. The vickers and 2 pounders provide excellent emplacements to hold spots. Keep them near each other to provide covering fire to each other. I like the setup with these since they provide three attacks per turn (2 infantry and 1 usually against some sort of vehicle) and require at least 2 attacks to take out both units. Effective little buggers. Only downside is that if you don't drop them off turn one or early turn two you're going to feel the pain when your enemy's tanks zero those easy to kill transports. Keep your transports behind blocking terrain, sport.
Now for the tanks... Ahh the tanks. I don't even like looking at UK tanks stats most of the time... Well let me begin...
The Grants are the true bulwarks of this setup. With the additional hull mounted gun, acceptable attack values, excellent speed and standard defense they will always make their presence known before they are one shoted by a Vet Tiger. They make such a nice poping sound too...
The valentines are robust and provide all around good defense. They are in the same platoon as the grants since they should form an anchor with them and hold the line till they are one shoted. Sucks to taste so good...
In second platoon we have a humber. What can I say, this was filler. It is, however, very flexible filler. Acceptable at poping enemy transports and good at attacking enemy infantry before moving behind blocking terrain this unit provides ok support. Its bad on sand but fortunately is at best a tertiary target when the fan is hit with animal excrement.
The Matilda II will probably be targeted about as much as the Humber. With its defense and crappy attack values it is more trouble than its worth. I'd honestly ignore this piece till my opponent's power pieces are down (being usually a German player this would be about turn three when I started opening up on Matil). Its slow has a bad attack but has a super defense. It speed makes sure it will show up at just the right time so it won't be late for its funeral.
M3 Stuart. Ah, this unit feels like I should scream Banzai as soon as I deploy it to the table. The term "Only one of us is getting out alive, and it ain't gonna be me" fits this unit well. It makes me feel a bit more insane when I play this piece.
Crusader II. I don't respect this piece either. Its prone to breakdown and only makes itself worthwhile by making a good target and hoping the opponent takes the free points and spends an attack shooting at one of these. Horrible guns, horrible mgs, ok defense and ok move. The only saving grace of this piece is that it is actually cheaper than the M3 Stuart. The Stuart just feels more fun what with the irrational insanity that comes with playing it.
Playing UK is something that I do when I feel close to God.
