Roll for cover?Hey guys,
there is a little question about rolling for cover in AAM.
Lets say a unit is attacked twice in this turn.
So this is the situation:
The first attack scores 4 hits against your armor of 4, your unit would be disrupted. Lets imagine the second one hits again (again rolled 4 hits vs armor 4) it would be destroyed.
Since it lies in a forest it has cover roles. Lets imagine the first one disrupts your unit. Why should i make a cover roll? It is disrupted anyway and only the second hit can be limited to disruption (instead of destroyed).
So if i win the first cover roll and miss the second it will be destroyed. But if i miss the first cover roll and win the second it only is disrupted? Am i thinking right here???
i would conclude there is no need for cover rolls if first hit equals your inf defense?
Thx for your answer.

In this case I am assuming we are talking about a infantry unit you would not make a roll for the first hit only the second and every hit thereafter that turn until you miss a roll or the turn ends. Now if the first attack had 5 successes aaginst your 4 armor you would make a cover roll right away.

Okay... So If an infantry/ or Armor piece fails it's first cover roll with a attack that only disrupts it, and gets attacked a second time in the same turn and gets a disruption but makes it's cover roll; it's only a disruption still? Not a damage or kill?

You don't roll cover against an attack whose result is the first disruption and nothing worse.
As long as it makes cover rolls after that, the hurt never increases.
