Need some clarification on defensive fireFirst post hello to all!
Just two questions regarding defensive fire:
1: Let's say I move first and during my movement phase I move a friendly unit to an adjacent hex to an enemy unit. During my enemies movement phase he then moves that unit, now initially in an adjacent hex by the friendly unit I had just moved, through another adjacent hex. Do I get to roll defensive fire? Also to get defensive fire does the enemy unit have to stop in an adjacent hex or do I also get it if the enemy unit simply passes through?
2: Does moving through an enemy to his rear trigger defensive fire? Ex.: My Cromwell moves through the hex of a Jagdpanther to occupy the hex directly rear of the tank destroyer.
That was actually 3 questions, and for all 3 I am assuming a yes but I just thought I'd get a little clarification.

Welcome aboard! Glad you're here and feel free to ask all the questions you want.
1. Enemy movement from one adjacent hex directly to another triggers DF. It doesn't matter where the enemy intends to stop.
2. The hex a unit is in is always adjacent to that unit, but some units have restrictions on where they can shoot. So when the Cromwell moves, the Jagdpanther can shoot DF at it in the hex where the Cromwell starts. It can't shoot at the Cromwell in its own hex or the hex behind it because the Jpanther has NO TURRET.
If the situation were reversed and the Jpanther moved through the Cromwell's hex, the Cromwell could choose one of either
1. Shoot at Frontal Armor in the hex the Jpanther started
2. Shoot at Rear Armor when the Jpanther is in its own hex
3. Shoot at Rear Armor when Jpanther enters the hex behind it
Does that help?
