New Units for Tannhauser in November-December

Got an email from FFG today saying that they will release the 4 new characters that ToY had planned on releasing this year.  Razz  Razz  Razz

Troop pack they said was a bit "iffy" for this year but will be released.

Note that the grey part on "Hoax" will be transparent.

Thanks for posting. I still haven't tried this game out yet. I know a guy who has a copy I'll have to start bugging him to play.

I've heard some good things about this game too. Cool

Some of their biggest fans are From France, though it was/is a French based game.

Now in the hands of FFG.

I have been eyeing this game for quite some time, sounds like it is pretty well liked. Are the rules well written and playable? I like the look of the pathfinder system, the boards and figures look awesome. As a WWII buff, the alternate history looks pretty cool as well. Is there a big occult element to it? I would play with my kids and wouldn't want anything to graphic, gory, or scary. I saw one of the figs had a knife and a bloody hand, just curious if it would be too adult for pre-teens. What do you think?

*** I think so. It does have it's cluster moments but nothing too difficult, there is a community that will help you with problems.

*** Very unique in my opinion, it is what sold me.

*** It is world war 1, the year is 1949 when operation Tannhauser is first executed. Operation Novgord takes a bit of a step back in the story to 1947 when the Reich's HE 111 bombers bomb a Russian Matriarch city.
Daedalus takes place in 1950.

*** You are talking about the Stosstruppen, that is not a bloody hand, he is possessed by a demon. That is his demon tainted hand

I'm not the biggest fan...however most of my friends dig it.  The circle path mechanic is both innovative yet stagnant.  I imagine if you designed a few new maps for yourself it would be much more fun.  As it is there are only 4 maps (1 double sider in the main box and 1 in the "russian" supplement)
For an hour or 2 of fun the game is good but the replay factor isn't really there for me

That being said I am pleased to see a troop pack being released in the future...although I did just finish a Death Korps of Kreig guy as a stand in.    [/i]
