Adopted in 1936, so 1/37 should be a safe date for common usage.

The image is too small and will not be displayed correctly on the card. It will look blurry and distorted.
Btw, you may want to read this: http://forums.filefront.com/fh2-s...d-war-comprehensive-articles.html
It's long and too image-heavy for your Dial-up connection, but I think it's worth reading and saving its images.
edit: I see you changed the image already. Btw, that's a great photo.

The Mas 36 was a superb rifle at medium and long range, but not great at short range (only 5 rounds, rather slow reload and would cause less harm than a Lee-Enfield, but extremely accurate). I would give it the same stats as the Mauser. The fact that it had shorter theoretical range doesn't mean that it was worse at range 4. In fact, it was as accurate as a Mauser at 350-400m. Maybe 7, 7, 5 with max range 4?

If you want these battles to be any bit of realism, you're going to have to put the soldiers into the card as well as the weapon. A good rifle in the hands of soldiers unwilling to fire it is as useful as a pipecleaner on the battlefield.
