Jintsu repriceDoes any one know about a house rule for repricing the Jintsu to a reasonable coast for its abilities.

Just add flotilla leader as SA and it's just fine.

I price Jintsu @ 14 in my house rules.
19 is just too much for a 3 8 3 ship when Yahagi is 14 with only a few less LLs and Flotilla Leader.

I was thinking 13 Yahagi has better guns better AA AND ASW(only 2 true but it still harasses local subs)
Not to mention Flotilla Leader.

But Jintsu has more LLs. one LL can sink a cruiser

10 I have yet to see Night Fighter used in a game, either the battle is determined before round 4 or by then both players forget about it. DON'T start with the darkness rules, it has proved only a headache for my group.

LOL: Darkness can be great!
Seriously - if you make Yuki 10, then Akit needs to be 11.

Really you think that Akit needs to be 11?

YES! Its 2 8 2, and 2X AA attacks

I also think darkness is kind of nice, try playing with the 'twilight' rules, a dice roll determines time of day. They make you think about each unit in a new way, so fleet building is much fresher and more fun.
What was the problem with your group? I know it kind of sucks that those rules are only released on line, but I do think they have the potential for making the games more interesting.

My group meets once a week and we only have 6 hours to play, darkness rules simply takes up too much time in preparation.

I'd be interested in your gaming fomats. My group meets once / month for about 8 hours and we're always looking for some interesting twist.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by formats, but we mostly put two or three 200-400pt fleets together and have them duke it out. Sometimes we put objectives to speed things up, sometimes we go WWI and say no air just surface, one time we had a 50 pt misquote fleet duel. One guy set up a Midway scenario, but I missed the day when it was test driven. The 200-400pt game normally take up the first 3 hours the next 3 we(mostly I) try to devote to an epic game of 600pts or more(we have had 1200+ games) so it really is a pretty relaxed system.
We have a few House rules mostly to make playing the axis viable and to make the Americans less CHEESY but other then that nothing too special.
