Japanese Big Guns 200 Point FleetDisclaimer: This is a go big or go home fleet.
Here it is:
Yamato x2 = 140
Yukikaze x6 = 60
Total - 200
This is a win big or lose big fleet. Put one destroyer with each of the BB's and send the other 4 out to use LL torps. You win big if the torps succeed. Even if te 4 "strike group" destroyers are lost there is still hope due to the high armor of the Yamato's and the 2 reserve destroyers that were left with the Yamato's.
Rating: 6 out of 10, would be a 5 but because of the high armor rating of the Yamato's it is a 6.
What do you guys think?

Six Yukikazes would cost 72, not 60. Subs will give you nightmares. Isokaze is a better choice than Yukikaze because of its ability to hunt subs and its higher ASW rating.

Oh gee whiz I am stupid, this ain't good. I am in honors math next year to, crap.
Anyways yea I figured subs would be a problem, maybe it does only deserve a 5. And now it is only 5 Yukikaze's. One thing that could be done is put in a carrier with planes if you know you're doing an all surface battle. I will probably play around with this build, mainly the 60 points left over after the 2 Yamato's.
BTW do you think the Yamato's are good for this?

I would run Musashi if possible. Better AA and 4 points cheaper, even if it gives up a bit on the secondaries.

Exactly, I probably would too except, whenever I build fleets or armies I build using what I have.

would go with following:
Yamato 1x
Musashi 1x
Akitsuki 1x
Isokaze 2x
I-19 2x
Zekes 3x
Shoho 1x(or second Akitsuki instead)
199(200)
other choice:
Yamashiro x2
Shoho x2
Zeke x 5
Isokaze x6
dropping one Zeke in combination with two Isokaze will
give you 2 I-19 instead (would I do in case of facing those Iowas,Tirpitz and other)

save pts with Musashi as isokaze and Musashi
2 x 66 = 132pts musashi
6 x 11 = 66pts Isokazi
or save a few more with two Atkisuki, one Yahagi, three isokaze
2 x 66 = 132
1 x 14 = 14
3 x 11 = 33
2 x 10 = 20
total of 199 and is same basis as original build but roll atkisuki with mushashi and yu have 4 AA attacks around Mushashi and Flotilla leader!

I like Yamato to get a bigger flag bonus your opponent will certainly have at least +2 at 200 points (well usually). And initiative is important to hitting with long-lances as well, though I question how many long lances you'll really need with two of the biggest BB's in the game in play. I'd spend the rest of the money figuring out how to get them to the objectives intact, bring Akitsukis and fighters.

Yeah, but with Yahagi, you likely won't need the flag bonus, as you would be winning initiative the majority of the time anyway.

Couple other builds:
Yamato x2
Yukikaze x4
I-26 x1
OR
Yamato x1
Yukikaze x8
I-26 x1
Shoho x1
Zeke x1

How about:
Yamato - 70
Mushashi - 66
Shokaku - 20
2 x Emily's - 20
4 x Zeke's - 24
Total = 200 pt's
No LL torp's or sub but that's where the Emily's come in as defence aginst sub's and the Zeke's defend them and the Ship's.

That seems solid, sub swarm might kill it though. It had big guns to act offensively and enough Zekes to defend against an air swarm.

Sub swarms work against almost anything, though, except maybe destroyer swarms. On the plus side, Yamato and Musashi can eat a fair amount of torps.

Plus the Emily's go after sub's every turn and will crip a sub 1/3 of the time usually.
