Huge scale 500ptI was thinking of doing a 500pt game on 3 or 4 maps to simulate the pacific war, taking some old school A&A concepts.
US would receive 5 manufacturing points per turn, IJN 2. These points can be used to build new units or repair damaged ones.
You start with a Home port on each side of the map. , Home port can repair 1 pt of hull damage, for a cost of 3 manufacturing points, per turn. Home port is where new units are purchased and are placed. Home port sectors can contain 4 friendly ships and 4 opposing ships
Objectives: 7 islands + 2 Home Ports
To capture an objective you must have an auxillary ship on the sector containing the objective island for 1 turn. When you capture an objective you receive an additional 1 manufacturing pt per turn. Objective control can be challenged by your opponent if they land a Auxillary ship in the sector for one turn. if this is the case both players roll a six sided dice. the highest roll wins/retains conrol of the objective. All but one objective will be placed on the IJN side of the map. Controlled objectives can base 2 aircraft.
Home Ports can only be taken with 4 auxilaries.
Aircraft: all aircraft can travel no more than 16 sectors per turn.

Huge battles are always cool, so this should be fun. I've never tried rules like you have but something similar was posted here before, they called it The Grandest Fleet.
