Hit Em' Early, Hit Em' Late 200 PointerHere is my new 200 point German fleet 200 points. Designed to hit early and late I think this can be quite powerful.
U-66 x3 = 36
U-510 x3 = 33
S-boat x3 = 21
Bismarck x1 = 53
Tirpitz x1 = 58
Total - 198
How It Works - Send in the S-Boats early to run amuck amongst enemy ships. Preferably hitting subs or major units. They cant be hit by BB main guns at ER and can roll a save. That is the early part. The late part is your subs. Move them up with your BB's for maximum potentcy. After your S-Boats have done their job your 6 subs go to work. Torping everything in sight while the BB's pound everything.
Flaws - An avenger swarm will beat this.
I like that fleet and plan on running it soon.
Here is my US Counter (not so much a counter, but a similar fleet)
Hoel x4
Laffey x4
Barb x3
California
Tennessee
Hoels and Laffeys go in early to destroy enemy subs (a counter to GE fleet above) or torp ships. Not as fast as S-Boats but stronger. Expect the DD"s to die in the process. Keep the BB's with the subs and move up slowly. Assuming your DD's have destroyed most if not all of the enemy subs your BB's can roam freely while the Barbs pull out Audacious Attack.
Both were designed with the hit early and late style of play. I think both could work quite well and facing eachother would be one helluva game.
(I'd gladly take someone on in an online match, pitting the 2 fleets against eachother, PM me if interested with your fleet choice).
I think these fleets can fair well against pretty much every other fleet out there.
Let me know what you think.

Looks like a solid fleet, but I think the 21 points you spent on S-Boats would be much better spent on Bf109's. A mere 3 S-Boats are not going to do anything but get blasted by destroyers that otherwise would have had nothing to shoot at; and some fighters would help fix that weakness against Avengers that you mentioned.
Also, if you have a second Tirpitz (It is 55 points, not 58, but you got the total = 198 correct), you should use that instead of the Bismark in order to put those 2 wasted points to good use. Officially, you can use two duplicate ships of the same class as long as you don't go over the class limit (Notionally, that second Tirpitz would be the Bismark).
Personally, if you don't have another Tirpitz, I would change the fleet to look like this:
U510 x 6 = 66
Fw 200 Kondor x 2 = 12
Bf109 x 2 = 14
Bismark = 53
Tirpitz = 55
Total - 200
It is a crime not to use a Kondor in a German sub build. Hope that helps.

With no fighters it's fatally flawed against just about any air build, as their fighters will strafe your torpedo boats and ASW aircraft can operate undisturbed.

Yes, you do point out major problems. 3 Bf 109s replacing the S-boats might be good but that defeats the hit em early part of this fleet.

So would his fleet work like you send in planes first turn while your subs and BB's move up, then on 3rd turn you launch your strike (Kondors pinpointing, 109's escorting)?
