Has anyone played the board game?I have and do. My teacher geography teacher got us out of some movie called mickey with it. I was mainly U.S but as the noly one with astrategic sense, I told them I should have some influence on their movments.They said sure, He completly misread my Russian offensive, I told him to push at archangle, caucasus, and west russia, he obly did west russian, and then panzers took moscow, i hit him off the head. Soon even I was outmatched, Japenese took Midway, australia, Madagascar, africa, some of it, then he took alaska, and the panama canal. I humiliated surrendereed to the awsome might of Mr.M, losing China and Canada, which wasnt even mine! sttill could fight in Europe, and then those japenese carriers hit england. He was the last survivor becuase Stalin's Sub, as he called it was sunk.

Loved the Board games long before minis were even an idea.
Received AA50 for x-mas. By far the best of all the A&A games.
The only issue I have is lack of time. When I was home on leave during x-mas my kids and I along with some friends played a game 12 hours straight.

We play AA50 here regularly. Awesome game. We played the 1941 with national objectives game last Sunday. First game we finished in 4,5 hours or so. Axis were badly beaten. A huge UK fleet and my big Russian tank force were next to Berlin and my US fleet was stacking up next to Japan. Russia also was 'liberating' China from Japanese influence and finishing Italian influence in Africa.

Our game took so long because the Axis were doing well (Specifically Japan). Japan finaly took Russia after taking out India and advancing across China while dominating the Pacific. Unfortunately, the U.S. took Italy the same turn before Japan could fortify Europe. Then Germany fell in 2 turns and it was a pure war of attrition that Japan could not hope to win.

Played a game that lasted for a week. First day we played maybe 5 hours, every day after that we played for 2-3. Italy was surpirsingly the star of that game (took China, India, Australia, Stalingrad and D.C. )

You need to tell the Greys to probe a little less deep, you're starting to have delusions.

Nope the aliens don't anything to with me after I dissected one of them. It may be one of those smurf pies if they are delusions.

Yeah, I definitely enjoyed Axis and Allies many a time, though getting the requisite crowd and time together gets harder yearly, or so it seems.

My gaming collection includes every A&A board game {except the new "1942 version}. I play the Revised, D-Day, Pacific games the most.
I've been playing this game since the mid 80's.
Also in the collection are:
Memoir '44 {+ expansions}
Shogun {two copies - one sealed}
Fortress America
Conquest of The Empire {new version}
Tide Of Iron
Plenty of games...AND NO TIME TO PLAY!
