Graf Spee/Aquilaslight modification100pts 1x Admiral Graf Spee 1x Admiral Scheer 1x Aquila 2x Bf 109 1x Kondor 2x U-66 the original build 100pts 1x Scharnhorst 1x Graf Zeppelin 2x Bf 109 1x Kondor 2x U-66 Edit: i understand im trading good armor for the average cruiser's armor but having two attack ships along side my two subs makes it look like an offensive threat, also i know im trading an AA of 8 for 2 AA of 6 also taking in mind that i only play UK/Commonwealth/France vs. GE/Italy/Vichy France and Japan vs UK/Commonwealth/US how do you think mine would hold up against other builds of the Commonwealth and France 2nd Edit: another build with the carrier Aquila 100pts: 1x Aquila 1x Cesare 2x Re.2001 1x Sparviero 2x Ambra |

Sadly, the Graf Spee is an overcosted ship. You might get more bang for the buck if you downgraded her to an Admiral Hipper or Prinz Eugen and one or both of the U66's to U510's, and added another Kondor. So maybe: 1x Admiral Scheer (20) 1x Prinz Eugen (17) 1x Aquila (15) 2x Bf 109 (14) 2x Kondor (12) 2x U510 (22) (100) Less surface firepower, but slightly improved AA, a second ASM, and the ability to have an escorted Kondor out every turn for the pinpointer ability. Or, add a third sub. 2x Admiral Hipper (32) 1x Aquila (15) 2x Bf 109 (14) 1x Kondor (6) 3x U510 (33) (100) I think I like this one best.

I was just taking a second look at this one, and I think you might actually be better off with the GZ. 100pts 2x Admiral Scheer 1x Graf Zeppelin 2x Bf 109 1x Kondor 2x U510 The only thing you might miss is the U66's evade sub hunter SA, but the Scheer is a better ship than the Graf Spree, and the GZ has better AA than the Aquila along with the guns of a light cruiser, which would help against a DD swarm. |
